The Toyota Corolla got a redesign for 1993. It was significantly larger than the previous generation, but kept the same base engine. However, for the first time, an upgraded engine was available on the more expensive sedans. The new Corolla was a little less angular than its predecessor, but the styling was not radically different.
Toyota got rid of the All-Trac wagon for 1993, leaving only the sedan and a front-wheel-drive wagon. The 1993 Corolla sedan was available as the base model, the mid-level DX and the well-equipped LE. The wagon was available as a DX only. Those purchasing a DX or LE sedan could choose from the old 1.6-liter engine or the new 1.8-liter, 115-horsepower engine. Fuel economy, depending on the engine and transmission, was about 26-33 mpg.
Drivers love the 1993 Corolla for its typical Toyota dependability and endurance. Many complain that the interior is short on space, especially in the back seat.

This is by far the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I bought it for $500 while I was in college. It had some pretty serious body damage from a front end collision and 245K miles. I thought it would last me maybe a couple of months until I could save up for something else. Little did I know this car would see me graduate from college, get a job and I sold it to my friend for $500. I never had to repair ANYTHING not even the body damage. I drove this car from Los Angeles to San Francisco regularly with ZERO issues. My friend was still driving this car until last year, (he had it for 4 years) He hadn't changed the oil since I sold it to him and it had over 350K miles on it.... what a car. One of the best ever made.
November 4, 2010It has over 203,000 miles and still runs strong. Purchased it with 178,000 miles three years ago and haven't had to due too much to it except regular maintenence.
November 27, 2007Very cheap car to keep. 1.6 l engine offers quite good acceleration and fuel economy is very good. Maintenance costs are low and if you do basic maintenances, it works very well. Cargo capacity is enough for one single man or for little family.

April 17, 2012it has good quality.it has good performance.it has good bodywork.it has a simple but comfy exterior and interior.it's a sedan,so it's efficient on gas.it's a fun car for a sunday drive.i recommend this.i hope you'll like it.i"use"it for my sunday drives
March 7, 2010Fantastic, attractive red colour fun to drive as it is small so you can shortcut the traffic comfortable, with a powerfull Pioneer CD player Airconditioned, automatic, can travel 250Km for 20 Litres of fuel.. I recommend my Toyota for anyone
October 9, 2009Levin GT Apex with a very nice 4AGE 20 valves engine. It is standard, no extra tunning but the accelaration and handling are very good. The braking is something that sometimes does not respond as I like. In audio is fully equiped with 1000 RMS system. It is very fun to drive.
September 16, 2009Great car ideal for some one who commute to and from work gives very good gas mileage this car is well maintained and will last a very long time with care also its easy to find parking in tight spaces.
April 29, 2013not much performance but fun to drive with the sound system @ high volume.it's pretty much standard inside and in good condition besides the seats i need it OVERHAULED.need some attention outside but don't have the mula,i need a sponsor lol.all in all i like it!
November 19, 2009performance is good and its fun to drive. quality in the suspension needs some improvement.exterior appearance is great while the interior is a little bit dull, fuel economy is very good, handling is responsive and is fun to drive in the city and country roads.
August 10, 2009this was a strange looking car, but the AWD was great and very useful. The car was kind of gutless though, but being a manual helped.
