antenna replacement
I just replaced the antenna on my 3000gt, but when the antenna goes up, it doesn't stop. What is supposed to stop it?

Fun, fast, and lots of work. Can get a used one pretty cheap but get ready to work on it if you do. On the plus side there is a great community behind these cars and it helps when you break it.Apr 12, 2012

Awesome. Twin-turbo, twin inter-coolers, all wheel drive, all wheel steering, dual electronic exhaust, electronic suspension, Active-Aero front and rear and more! Lots of power and hugs the road at very high speeds (155mph was my max). Not for short track racing, but hard to beat on the highway or distances.Dec 01, 2011

amazing car. fast, fun, attractive. get compliments and stares everywhere i go. Its a bit on the heavy side, but its ok. I feel a little safer at high speeds because of it. really fun car to drive. recommend itJan 03, 2011

Pretty quick for a stock car. Enjoyable to drive and never really a boring car. Premium gas is not fun but worth it. Interior feels like a cockpit with everything centered around the driver. Styling of the car is great and the lines on the car really give it a sport lookNov 16, 2010

Fun around corners and good acceleration on straights, good bodywork and jap motors rarely go wrong it's just all the other parts. Gets me where I want to go . . . . quickly! Thirsty on fuel consumption and oil. Love her to pieces tho and gets a few looks ;)Jul 10, 2009

I really love the looks of the car, and the performance is good. Online est say 300hp for this year but I'd say around 250-280hp b/c of the age. It handles well, and the AWD really gives it a jump off the line, and does well in snow! haha I only wish the A/C clutch wouldn't squeek after it rains or the lifters wouldn't knock, but I'm replacing the stock lifters with Big Bore ones, should solve the problem.Apr 24, 2009

this is one of the best cars that Mitsubishi ever made it has great performance it accelerates quick and handles really good the only maintenance the car really needs is the timing belt needs to be changed every 60k it gets pretty good gas millage 18 mpg over all i love my car and its fun to drive Oct 01, 2008

Massive acceleration, excellent braking, light handling. Lovely dump valve fitted and powerful twin turbos. Solid, heavy car, for its age, interior trim is in very good condition. Leather seats, digital temperature/air conditioning display, central locking, aero spoiler, air conditioning, low profile tyres, alloys, racing gear stick. No repairs needed. VERY fun to drive! Beautiful ride with good performance. Accelerates well with good breaking. It's a fairly solid car that hasn't needed a whole lot. I bought the car with about 126,000 miles on it so obviously it wasn't perfect. The car has a beautifully designed look to it with a nice interior as well. It is a lot of fun to drive, only problem is that some things are expensive to fix. I would recommend this car to other people but only those who could afford it.Jul 01, 2008

What can I say? I moderately customized 3000GT VR4 pushing over 400AWHP. The car looks like the exotic sport cars of the 90s and outperforms one hundred thousand dollar cars of today. The car turns heads everywhere I go and "car guys" give me props whenever I pop the hood, I even had a guy in a Ferrari tell me he wouldn't race me out of fear of being embarrassed.Apr 10, 2008

Hello my name is Tyler and i just bought my first car witch is a 93 3000gt sl and ive got it up to 136mph... and it would have kept going so i just want to know the top speed. the only aftermarket part is a K&K cold air intake

3500 engine swapped into 93 3000gt, came with both ECU modules, but mechanic never put these in,
Guy sold us car with bad engine, then changed it out for a 3500 engine, he said he was told, "no need to change ECU's" however it will not pass inspection cos emissions are way off.My immediate question was, " surely an engine half a litre bigger will need different tuning parameters". The 2 units that came with the 3500 engine have different wiring ports, so will not just switch over. Any thoughts ? The car also cuts out on occasions.

I own a 93 3000gt sl and im having problems getting it to start. I checked to see if it was firing and its not so I looked it up and replaced the ignition module but still wont fire.
Is there anything else I can check to see why it wont start?

Why won’t my car start after being driven for 20 minutes?
My car starts right up when cold, after I drive for 20 minutes, turn it off and go in the store or wherever and come back out, won’t start up for 5 minutes. No crank or anything. After I wait about 5 minutes, it’s starts but won’t run good for a few. Low idles.
