the Jeep has been one of the best 4x4s I have had. It will go just about anywhere I needed it to go. It is a comfortable and easy vehicle to drive. my wife and grand kids are safe on the bad roads in winter and it has been pretty dependable.Oct 02, 2013

one of the better vehicles i have ever owned. very comfortable to ride in. great stylish suv. my son has plenty of room. factory all round speakers sound great. also pulls a trailer with no issue. worth more to me than its actually worth.Apr 19, 2012

it has 259K and is still running great, the past owners have not been very kind to it,
the up keep is pretty cheap some oil leaks so about a 1q every 4 -6 months,
gas is about 16mpg in town maybe 22mpg highway. 4wd part time high and low (jeep has the best 4wd of any car marker)

What can you say against a car that has been (repeatedly) brought back from dead using only hand tools and a BFH? If you didn't / couldn't maintain it yourself it could be very costly to run an older car (of any make). Sep 12, 2009

The Wrangler guys smirk when I show up at the trail but as the day goes on it surprises a few of them. It has served me well and never left me stranded. And I don't exactly baby it. :-) The unibody is the real limiting factor. If it had a body on frame construction it would make some modifications easier and cheaper.Jan 07, 2009

Performance-it has a 318 so it accelerates very quickly, brakes very well, and handles better than any other suv i have driven. plus its all wheel drive so its great in snow and rain even when your taking off and slowing down at what would usually be unsafe speeds.
Build Quality-it still runs great at 240,000 miles and i'm a little hard on cars. no squeaks/rattle, it acts/sounds brand new.
Appearance-i like the way it looks, plus it has leather interior, everything is digital except your dash. so you have your average mpg, temp, miles till empty, miles till service on digital displays. plus its very comfortable.
Cost of Ownership-since its 15 years old and high miles i didnt pay much for it and no work is necissary cheap especially for all that you get as long as you can afford 13mpg or so. i drive it hard and fast and rarely on the interstate so other people could get better gas mileage i'm sure.
Fun Factor-very fun, epecially if you live in the country. It handles all terrain with ease, if you like to play in the mud or snow its perfect for not getting stuck although the all wheel drive feature can't be disabled so burnouts and donuts are a little tough, but you shouldn't be doing that in an suv anyways, although i do and it hasn't came close to tipping yet which surprised me considering how easily other suv around its size do.Dec 16, 2008

Performance – acceleration, braking, handling is werry good
Build Quality – has not rusted much and is solid
Appearance- looks good werry smart design
Cost of Ownership – gas is averige 16 l to a 100km but you get what yuo paied for.

I loved my old jeep. It was great on road and great off road. It was only a 3.0 liter but gave decent acceleration for an older truck. I had nice 20 inch rims which made it stand out nicely. It had almost 180,000 and still running strong. Great vehical if maintained well. Aug 21, 2008

My white 1993 grand cherokee had the awesome AMC derived I6 engine. Great low end torque that accelerated from a stop like a V8 (but with a mediocre exhuast note), and awesome fuel economy.
Fun car, but I had white paint on it that flaked. We called it Naman the Leper because every time you washed it at a car-wash white chips would fly everywhere. I ended up selling it, as a re-paint was too expensive.

Official Hummer Recovery vehicle! Has great traction whether you are trying to drive in a snow storm or get over then next sand dune. Has good handling even during high winds. Seats 4 comfortably but can seat 5. The 318 CID (5.2L) mopar V8 has awesome power but is very hard on gas. The Quadra-Trac system does not help with the mileage either. Overall I like driving this car, I can leave people in the dust at a stop lights and get past granny doing 40 in a 55. (if you get something like this stuck either another jeep has to get you our or its going to be one huge towing bill!)Feb 13, 2008

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee not cranking
I have a 1993 Jeep grand cherokee that I recently had the oil changed and I realized the oil filter wasn't changed out, but after I drove it home and went to go drive it again. When I started it, the battery was real weak turning over but it started. Which was odd went to the store and like someone stupid I shut it off. Went to start it and it was the weak turning over and then nothing. Now I turn it over and it just clicks. I changed the starter and it didn't work. Im so confused on what's wrong.

no crank no start in my Jeep grand Cherokee 1993 I checked the battery it is good it holds a charge as well as disconnecting the alternator and check as well both things are good the starter is not the issue because I can get the card to turn over if I connect the terminals the car will start and run if I mess with the relay. Why would my car not be starting I’ve tried starting it in neutral to bypass the neutral safety switch but still won’t go
