Hi everyone i have a 1993 model ford bantam the engin cranks but wont start can some please help me i really want to fix this problem dont know where the fuel cut off switch is located or how it looks

fitted 1997 Fiesta 1400i engine with loom into 1994 bantam bakkie.
Bakkie has more power now but as soon as engine reach normal temp, it misses and backfires. I then have to turn engine off for around 10 sec and it's ok again when i restart. while it misses i remove plug on water temp switch under intake manifold and it tends to idle higher, temp switch has been replaced but no change. can anybody please help?
