I've got a touring wagon in Aus and a loyale here in Canada, both awesome little cars, built tough with character, never had any real problems with these cars, nothing i couldn't fix, very easy to work on, If well maintained just like any other car, then it should serve you very well into the future. A car that stands out from the rest, with it's 4wd on demand system and quirky instrument cluster layout, comfy chairs and smooth ride all wrapped into a family car. great little wagon, drove to colorado and back for christmas, height of the snow season, no problems, moved my entire shop with this car, with it's long roof line attach a rack and can haul anything, can load up to 6 r/c planes and equipment to fly themSep 24, 2013

Great little economy car. Enough ground clearance to get through the snow and the 4WD has never left me stuck. The 1.8 leaves much to be desired in performance, but it gets the job done. It lacks in the appearance field to, but the wagon means I have room to cram all of my house projects in it without needing to fire up the big Yukon. All in all I love little cars like this. They get the job done and you don't have to worry too much about them.May 14, 2011

how come they can't make cars like these anymore? if i ever have to replace it i wouldn't find a replacement - size, economy, nothing compares in todays cars - sure love passing all those way more expensive pos on the road - and love getting over 30 mpgApr 24, 2011

Idles fine but dies when I put it in gear and try to drive
Me and my buddy recently did a tune up on his 92 Subaru loyale (spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, fuel filter, and the ignition coil, oil change and oil filter change). After we completed the tune up it took awhile to get the car to idle by itself at about 1000 rpm but when we put it in gear to drive it sputters and dies! We can’t figure out what the problem is. HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have opened the panel in my trunk so i can see the backside of the tail light fixture but I can’t seem to find a way to unpop the socket and expose the bulb so I can change it.

1992 subaru loyale pulled crank posistion sensor code, replaced and won't start still
I have gone through everything, checked spark, has fuel, replaced MAF, replace coolant temp.sensor ensure, and now my crank position sensor, still won't start, any idea why?
