Does the job but not a particulalrly exciting or easy car to live with. Breakdowns are regular. Safety is poor. ust is a big problem as are the dreaded cooling systems ( I have not known a Metro that hasn't overheated!) not the mention the suspension displacers. Parts are cheap but have to be constantly replacedJan 18, 2013

rover metro gti with 1.8 vvc engine uprated suspension and brakes stripped out in back sportex race exhaust 4 branch manifold bigger throttle bodie ported and polished head running 200bhp and when the car only weighs 750kg this mean thats its very fast and keep with /beat more exotic machinery and very cheap to do a conversion.the car is awsome to drive but would not be for the feint hearted or scary cats because doing a 145mph plus in a rover metro takes some big balls ;)Nov 05, 2011
