Hi, I want to install turbo charger on my 4G63 non turbo galant, but I wonder what modification are necessary to be done inside the engine. Is it enough to replace the pistons with the pistons whose compression ratio are 7.8/1 ? The other question is the ECU, if I use the origanal ECu of my own car, does it get me into troubles? for example poor fuel mileage or poor performance ...
21 January, 2009 I wonder if you could help me solve following problem with my car!!! I own a preowned 1991 Model Mitsubishi Galant since last 10 years. It is an automatic transmission car. It has developed this problem- the gear works OK when I begin to drive after I first start the car & begin to move–I mean it has good Up-Shift from 1st-2nd-3rd-Overdrive. But if I reach 80KPH plus speed & then have to slow down the downward shift is rough and also it gets locked to whichever position it reaches- I mean if I slow down to where it down-shifts to 2nd gear it would not Up-Shift to third & O.D. & if it down-shifts to 1st gear it would stay in 1st only. The only way to release from these gears is to switch off the ignition & restart the engine.And if it were to slip from OD to third gear it would not go to OD on accelerating. Could anybody please enlighten me as to where lies the problem? And what is the solution? Thank you Shuja Email: shujalalji@gmail.com
I have a 1990 galant vr4 and there is a dash light that will not go away its (!) but with a full circle around the !. Its not the handbrake light or check engine and no one seems to know what it is. Help
When it stopped on me I had a small amount of smoke from under the drivers side. It was gone before I opened the hood. It smaller like a belt. But none of them were broken. The man that is looking at it for me said the timing belt is fine and everything is in time correctly. What else do I need to check? Could it be the throttle sensor or could he have not done something correctly putting it back together?
Plan to go to Greymouth. Its a mitsuibuishi Galant 1991. Fuel caapacity 62ltrs Would it be enough to get there.
