1990 Saab 900 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

My 90 saab 900S has been leaking oil and coolant.

The oil leak is getting worse. My mechanic said he would have to take the whole engine out and reseal it. About $ 2000. He claims there is also a small coolant leak. That would be $1100. I do not want to put that much into my car. What are other options? Keep filling fluids and drive? How long could I realistically do that? Thanks

Saab engine swap

My engine locked up on my 1990 Saab 900. I found a 1999 9-5 with body damage and want to know if I can use that engine in my '90 and if I will need to swap anything additional to the engine itself?

saab transmission replacement

is it worth it to replace the transmission for $2000 (used trans & labour). Car has 105k, strong engine and good clutch. Air conditioning does not work, electronic door locks broken, Saggy headliner, body in great shape. Always garage kept. Was very zippy and handled well until the transmission burst. Split transmission pan. Should I sell it as is? How much?

1990 Won't Shift into 1st Gear?

My 1990 sprung a leak on the brake/clutch fluid system. The cluctch would shift... stuck in traffic I ground the gears and got it in 5th & drove @about a mile. I Could smell clutch burning. (ouch!) I had theline repaired/fluid replaced. Now it won't go in 1st & grinds a bit going in 2nd. Clutch bad or trans screwed up? Suggestions?
