What hose is this for a 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback DX
Any guidance to give would be great, but I noticed while driving my coolant was reading hot and this hose had a leak spewing out coolant. Was wondering what it would be called.

There were few changes in the 1989 Honda Civic lineup. Perhaps the phrase, "why mess with a good thing," was ringing in the ears of the Honda executives.
One notable change was that the Civic Si hatchback was re-created and now came with a moon roof and the wicked CRX Si engine which this year was increased to 108 hp.
In fact, it's that engine that had people abuzz, and even Hot Rod magazine — of all places — carried a big piece about the '89 Civic, saying that it "combines the intimidation factor of a rusty Yugo with the styling flair of a rubber doorstop." Of course, they then went on to explain how the adapted 487 hp engine dropped in by racing legend, Larry Widmer.
It seemed that the Civics had certainly come of age, and were being modified by a loyal crowd of auto enthusiasts to become "stealth" muscle cars.

We purchased this car my Junior year (summer) of high school Georgia. I remember going to Po-boys every week getting parts and materials to improve my car all summer before school was back in session.

Caractéristique - Moteur 1,4L (D14A1), 16 soupapes, double carburateur,
90ch, le tout pour un petit 860kg.
Performance - Bonne accélération pour un petit 1,4l, disques ventilé à
l'avant suffisant pour les freins, vire plutôt à plat donc assez maniable.
Build Quality - Voiture très bien vieillit et très bien finit pour une entré de
gamme de 1989, plastique nickel, un siège conducteur un peu usé et
quelques bosse sur la carrosserie et une peinture passé mais rien de
méchant.
Appearance - Look simple mais efficace :)
Cost of Ownership - Le cours du SP98 est pas génial faut pas ce le cacher
^^, pour les pièces de maintenance, rien de bien cher.
Fun Factor - Petite, légère et 90ch, c'est assez joueur pour bien s'amuser

1989 Honda Civic DX custom convertible (2008).
Upgraded engine to a 1998 1.6L with 98 clutch/pressure plate.
5 speed manual transmission.
Chassis has 280,000 miles on it and the engine/transmission has about 18,000.
Great car with lots of power and 45+ MPG.
I used the original dual point fuel injection system which yields better fuel economy, but with the 1.6L engine there is plenty of power, especially with the extra weight removed by the top and rear hatch.

Almost 300000 miles but the engine is a ZC out of Japan with about 50K on it by now. Intake kit already installed, slotted and drilled disk brakes already installed, suspension rebuilt with competion level struts etc., (BOMZ Racing and Bear Brakes thank you) Driftz wheels already installed as well. Next step is machining head (ported, polished, valves spring doubled up). Headers and exhaust. Oh yeah, and I'm getting it painted next week.Jun 17, 2011

I like it because it's a honda, but it has no power. It gets good gas mileage, but again has no power! You cant really go wrong with a honda. This car was in a front end accident before I got it, so it has a few problems, but I drive it everyday with barely any problems!Apr 20, 2011

5. gearbox and really nothing else.
What made that car beautiful was clearly the styling.

much performance even from bone stock.
This car handles great on the corners and
has never slid out from under me whilst
cornering. Breaking is very fast as it is
so light. Very very cheap to run and has
used hardly any oil since i have owned

easy aftermarket upgrades interchangeable engines...and parts, buy stock n work your way up to modified. something easy to repair at home and alot of online help on do it yourself thngs as well as trying to build your own ideal of what it should be. its not super fast but you can do your own thing with the car on great buget and always have more room for better things.Mar 29, 2010

the performance of my 89 civic was very good.I did alot of work to it new engien new suspenion,new hood fenders bumpers,lowered 1.75 inches tokiko srturts with megan racing springs nice ride the engiend was chiped and headers new race head exsaust everything was done to that car all by me.....Mar 28, 2010

this car is VEEEERRRRRYYYY light on the back end, is the first car I have ever Terroplaned in and that really sucked. i has no anti lock breaks and while in most cars this wouldn't be a problem, this acr, atleast the one I drive, acts like it has no break pads when I know this to not be the case

I Love honda. Performance is this car is never going to die
on me and i can always upgrade the motor to a faster one.
Com on it runs on no oil but it could blow. The car is so light
that when i see VW in the street i want to race it. Build
quality depends on if u put quality parts on it. The

This car gets me from point A to point B only. It has great fuel economy. Built with quility matarials of its time unlike new plastic cars its tough and resisted its test against time. I drive it like a maniac and the overall weight of the car makes it fun to take on twisty roads.Jul 15, 2009

These cars a good in stock condition. But with a twin cam 1.8, stiffer suspension, sticker tires and four wheel disk brakes they are great. Quick, fun and amazing handling with few modifications, while still being decent on gas. My 89 civic hatch has held its own against brand new cars costing 10 times what I paid for it.Jul 02, 2009

perfermance wise it sucks ass. its got like no kick but whatever. breaks are good and handling is real phat, but acceleration could be better.
umm well its an 89 so yeah its probly needed repairs from its use. its got over 300k on the engine so whatevs. also got new clutch.
appearance is deece i guess. its got some chips. bumper is cracked too.
i got the car for 800 bucks so i cant complain, and its really good on gas.
yeah the car is pretty fun to drive, its a five speed and sounds real gnarly so yeah its good, its good

We loved this car so much we drove it in to the ground. The car was in 18 accidents/acts of vandalism and kept on ticking. Sadly this past May she took her last highway drive before the engine asploded. My husband's family was the original owner since 89. Now she rests in the garage sagging and unused. The first 4-door sedan Civic (I'm mostly sure) and it drives almost exactly like the CRX, but with 4-doors and seats 4.5 people with a trunk. Even better, in 1991, the first Civic EX was sold (very limited numbers) and the only Honda of the same era to match its fun was the CRX Si.Mar 09, 2008

Yes, I have a Honda Civic. Most people don't know about it because I haven't driven it in a couple of years, since the engine block is cracked (with ~230,000 miles). I bought it for $100 from an acquaintance and fixed the transmission; it ran great for a summer and autumn before dying on me. I had some great memories with that car: my fiance (at the time brand new girlfriend) cut the exhaust off of it with a kitchen knife when the muffler fell off, leaving the rest hanging over the rear axle; my brother and I experienced the (second) hood flying open at full speed, shattering the windshield and making the five mile drive home scary as hell; driving with said broken windshield to Lapeer to get a new one installed, with bits of glass hitting my face along the way. I own a 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback (I believe DX) and I was wondering what might cause a fuel pump relay (also called a main relay) to go bad. Could it be a fuel filter that's clogged? A short in the car? Any information would be appreciated.
