Fuel pump is working , fuses are good. Starts when I put gas down the intake but stalls as the gas runs out. So spark is not the issue. Could it be the crank sensor?? It's like the injectors are not firing or something.
I am picking up a 1987 rx7 non turbo 5 speed, and would like to know any insider tips of quick and easy upgrades, or upgrades I should do first, besides turbo kit, that will be my first upgrade. And second with be polyeurathane bushings all around, so if you know and general upgrades and maintenance that would be good to start with is really appreciate the help. I don't know everything about rotory engines but been doing some serious research . ty
do I need to pull manifold to get at the injectors on 87 rx7 turbo.
When started up cold, it revs up to around 3K for a few seconds as they all do, but when the engine runs at normal temperature...the tach bounces from 1200 - 1500 RPM's consistently. I was told maybe a vacuum leak. A friend suggested that I spray carb cleaner all over the engine compartment to determine if and where there is a vacuum leak. Any other ideas or suggestions would be very welcome.
