Wiring for fuel injectors

I have a 1987 Chevy Celebrity Wagon. 2.8 liter, 6 cylinder. Just cut off on me twice while driving. Second time car would turn over but not start. Put the car in the shop. It was there for over a week. They finally got it to run but only on 5 cylinders. Told me that when they connect the 6th cylinder, the wire burns and the car won't start. They said the fuel injector wires all melt together. From what I know it is dangerous not to mention could cause damage to the engine to run my car this way. I need help! What should I do?

My 1987 Chevy celebrity can't do highway anymore, bogs as 60MPH has trouble going up hill. eats up gas

Didn't know id have a details section lol. well like i said it bogs and kicks at 60mph and higher. has a lot of trouble up hill and eats up gas. has new coil packs along with new spark plug and wires. just replaced the fuel filter thinking that was it but it didnt help much.
