Is it safe to run E10 gasoline in my 1986 Cavalier? It is a 2.0 Liter EFI engine.

It was a nice looking car for the '80's. When it ran, it didn't run very good. Beware the 2.8 MPFI V6. It was one of the crappiest motors GM ever made. It was slow to accellerate and needed a lot of repairs. It was cheap to drive, but could have been cheaper. The digital dash panel kept going out and I had to punch it to get it to come back on. Since that part was no longer manufactured, we had to send it to GM to get fixed. It wa a fun first car, but I'm glad I'm rid of it.Dec 19, 2008

One of the Ugliest Cars ever produced! Decent Fuel Mileage.
Simply your average 80's compact sedan powered by an anemic four banger.
Was a pretty reliable car until I threw a piston rod in the motor. Bye, bye Cavalier! I guess that's what I get for treating this car like it was a race car!Sep 25, 2008

86 Z24 Coupe 4 speed Manual 2.8L V6 MPI. A fun coupe to enjoy. Plenty of power, enjoyed the sunroof, and got tired of the red exterior/interior combo. Another car I wish I still had for the collection as you do not see many of the first gen Z's anymore.Sep 09, 2008

My family bought this car brand new. It was our family car for 10 years until I had the opportunity to drive it to school and take my friends all over the place. I have many memories of this car growing up and driving it. Chevy you will be missed forever. Aug 29, 2008

Used to be my Mom's car from 1988 until 1995. Traded it in after it got hit in the driver's door when I was a junior in high school. Bought back in 2001 and have kept it in a garage ever since. New paint, engine, suspension, top, exhaust, and lots more parts. I love how simple and economical this car is. Its one of the nicer ones of its kind out there. Jan 15, 2008

This car lasted the longest of any of my cars. I drove it into the ground -- until a mechanic finally said to bury it! Because it was so small it was extremely easy to drive, and was great on gas.Dec 28, 2007

automatic tranny stays in lockup; how to fix it?
The tranny when warm stays in lockup even tho I put a switch in the wires leading from the computer to the tranny to break the circuit. Is the solonoid going bad or another part?
