Charging Diesel Batteries
I have batteries on the passenger side and right side of the 6.2L diesel engine compartment, on each side of radiator. Does it matter which battery I hook up to a charger/voltage maintainer?

I drive this truck now, and i enjoy every bit of it! Its got a really solid engine, and good handling for a truck of this size. I absolutely love driving this truck just as much as i like working on it. The gas is crazy, but what do you expect ?Aug 07, 2009

Lost second gear
I have a 84 suburban 2wd and my 700r4 just all a sudden lost second gear. So I changed fluid and filter. Now it will shift but only after I let up on the gas. But now I have to do that with every gear now. Is it gone or is it saveable?

Electric Rear Window 84 Suburban stuck down
The electric window on my 84 diesel 4x4 Suburban is stuck down. I have a button on the dash; the vehicle was donated to me (Disabled Veteran). Perhaps a fuse, where's the fuse box? All other windows and door locks work.

1984 Suburban 4x4 6.2L diesel
Hello from high in the Colorado Rockies. The Suburban ALWAYS needs a spray or two of starter fluid, then she starts and runs great. Once warm after driving just a few miles, she will start without need of starter fluid. It has a factory block heater that I plug in when she's in my 3 sided garage. 1984 Suburban 4x4 6.2l diesel. Simply cannot get both batteries to hold a charge. Used two separate battery chargers. With 2 batteries is there anything I need to do as if it only had one? Will jump
Will jump start then runs fine. While running, dashboard voltmeter shows 13 volts. Cannot find anything "turned on" that I could shut off, but 4 nights ago when it was fine, I left the inside dome lights on. Oops. But should recharge?
