Key Blank For 1981 Dodge Colt
I purchased a 1981 Colt in December. It came with only 1 key that is bent (but works) I've tried to get more keys made but no one seems to have the blanks.
To say that the 1981 Colt is not a big car is a bit of an understatement. Though it is supposed to seat four comfortably, two of those four would have to be either very small children or very large cats. But the Colt's small size is also an advantage for budget-conscious drivers, who love the Colt for its fuel economy and parking versatility in the city. Its light weight also makes it peppy enough on the road to qualify it as a fun drive.
The 1981 Colt came as a 2-door hatchback or 4-door Vista wagon. Seeing no need to mess with a good thing, the Colt kept its engine choices -- a 1.4, 1.6-liter I4. Both models were paired with a 4-speed twin stick manual transmission or optional 3-speed auto tran.
Not one to be ostentatious, the 1981 Colt offered few luxuries inside. Most desired features, such as air conditioning, power windows, and cassette player were optional. While the front seat was relatively roomy and comfortable, the back seat in the hatch was almost useless. The Vista wagon offered more practical cargo room for small families.

I need to know how much a 1981 dodge colt 2-door hatch back in very poor condition with over 200, 000, 00+ miles on it is worth. It is in poor condition. I gave it to my brother who is a Vietnam vet years ago. He now needs disability bad and they are claiming that it is worth $200.00 the amount an 84 four-door dodge colt is worth now because the 81 did not have a value listed. However, this small amount may kick him out of the system, which he desperately needs. If anyone knows the true value, I would appreciate it. Thanks Connie Butner cdbutner@charter.net
I bought a 1981 Dodge Colt Vista manual transmission, where is the reverse shift? A gal that had never drove a manual transmission. Dilsia
MY colt sat with no gas for 2 months. I put 5 gallons in it yesterday & tried to start it. It has spark but won't turn over. I bough a can of starter spray & sprayed it into the carburator with the "butterfly" held open. The car started but stalled. I tried pumping the gas pedal to feed some gas not starting because the gas to the fuel pump but it still wouldn't start. I tried the starter spray again & the same thing happened. I'm pretty sure the car won't startstay running because there's no fuel getting to the carburator. Any suggestions of what else I can do to get the car running again without paying a fortune to a mechanic?
