My nefew's 440 ci New Yorker has 25,000 miles on her, inherited from his Grandfather. The car stopped running. The motor spins over, there is spark at the plug boot ends. The distributor has the single electronic pick up and reluctor system..replaced rotor , cap and ignition coil and still no fire. 0.060 air gap on pickup sensor.. The manual says 12 degrees advance on the timming, there are two marks on the harmonic balancer, which one do I use to set #1 TDC and should the pick up and reluctor be in line at this point? This is not clear in the Haynes Manual..What else should I be looking for?? Chevy Man
