Used Chrysler New Yorker for Sale near Boston, MA

Well it is a Grandpa car but it is reliable!!! I love the fact that it has heated mirrors and a leather interior. For being a V6, it isn't bad on gas. I get about 23 mpg, and the exterior is white so it is easy to wash and polish!

I first saw this vehicle and didn't like it, from the outside it looked like it was too small, the front looked funny and the rear looked like they were trying to make it look like a Lincoln with those windows, I looked at many other cars but the Chrysler New Yorker kept calling me to come have a seat and that was all it took, the gas mileage is to die for and the ride is soft and true, I plan to do more work to her and keep her as long as she can roll .

I drove my grandmother's New Yorker for a little over a year while I was saving money up to get a new engine for my own car. It got me from point A to point B alright, and for the most part it ran when I needed it to, but overall it's not my favorite to drive. Design is your stereotypical old-lady car(this is coming from a 27-year-old ;P ). It was fun to make a few heads turn when I was cruising down the road blasting Japanese pop and death metal from said old-lady car. I did have my fair share of problems with it while I had it, including the swaybar coming apart, the rear brakes going out, and the Check Engine light coming on randomly for no reason whatsoever. My mechanic never was able to pull a legitimate code off of it when it came on so we figure it's a computer glitch. It does have lots of room, and a huge trunk which made moving a little easier. The interior is vinyl, and if you live in the Arizona desert that means covering every inch of the seats with towels from about April to October unless you like scorching your backside. My grandmother is rather short, about 5' 3", and she has mentioned that it's hard for her to drive because the seats are low-slung and that to be comfortable and see over the dash board she has to sit on a couple of pillows. Fuel economy is not great, but this wasn't a car designed for high MPG. It got about 15 to 20 MPG when I had it, and it has an 18 gallon tank, so much of my paycheck was sacrificed to the gas pump. It also felt underpowered. It has six cylinders but it could probably run better with eight(hey, the MPG sucks to begin with so why not go nuts here?). It has a WIIIIIIIIIDE turning radius, and I always had a hard time parking in tight places like around ASU or downtown Phoenix, and I remember my best friend's apartment being especially difficult to park in. There's no simple pulling in with this car. You'll most likely have to swing out like a big rig and then execute some careful 3-point turns to park. U-turns? Avoid unless your life depends on it! I do like that the car has a wide wheelbase and is a bit lower to the ground. While you have to be careful not to bottom out over speed bumps it does make the car much easier and safer to drive. While I had my gripes about this car I have to say I'm extremely thankful we had it, because I wouldn't have been able to move to Phoenix otherwise.
