replaced cap,rotor,ign module,coil and start solonoid ,battery truck will turn over but not start no spark after trying some troubleshooting i noticed i had no spark when turning key and releasing but if turning key to start and return back to off position ill get a single nice spark so thought it was ign switch just replaced key cylinder and switch still no start i am stumped mind you i am just mechanical but not a mechanic just pickin your brains thanks
i have holes in my valve covers the passenger side hole has a pcv valve that goes to a hose that hangs loosly open ended the driver side goes to a hose that connects to the base of the carburetor in the from and has an oil filler cap on it I just want to know where these hoses actually go
'77 Ford F100. Would run great unless you took short trips then would have some difficulty starting. Did notice a loss of power about 6 months ago. Since then have rebuilt the starter (was arcing). Replaced the distributer cap, rotor and coil. Fuel is getting to carburetor (rebuilt a year ago). Last weekend it stalled during driving and now won't start. Primed the carb and upon releasing the ignition it blew the fuel out the top. Entire exhaust system 2 years old. Im at a loss as to what to try first. I've heard timing chain slipped gears, clogged exhaust, busted valve... Where should I begin?
On my 1977 ford f100 V8, 351 2barrel carb I have replaced my alternator, fuel hose , battery But yet when I start it I have to jump it if it stays running as soon as I put it into gear it bogs out and than the battery is dead. It acts like it's not getting any air or gas and that something is draining the battery Please Help Me.
I jumped my truck it run than I trunk it of and it's dead I replaced the wire that was smoking and I replaced the alternator and the battery but yet it still does the same thing but the charger on it charge the battery up start it up let it run to charge the battery more turn the truck off and start it back up and it was dead what is wrong with it
