Other than the great motor and transmission (300 straight 6 and c4 auto) this truck
was a pile of steaming crap. lethal handling (due to springs snapping off their
perches), top speed of 80 and 1/4 mile in I think 21 seconds on a good day with a

This was my very first vehicle that I got when I was 16. This truck was a classic and looked wicked. It was the F-100 with side flares (step side). It was awesome to drive and sounded nice with the dual glass pack. It had some get up and go with the 302 V8. So clean and only one small scratch on it! I got it for around $4,200 at Community 2 Dealership. I would rate this thing over the charts. Bummer that ONE week after I got to drive it, somebody T boned me on the driver side and totalled it. How much are these trucks worth in moderate condition ?
minor to mild body rust/dents/bruises, head appears to leak. Interior shows a lot of wear, seats torn, dash cracking (N/W&T) for it's age. Miles unknown by owner. VIN: 2FTCF10F2DCA60401, Any ideas.

83 F100 Dies after running for a few minutes or when it’s hot
Car runs for 15 minutes then it chokes, chokes and it dies. Sometimes it runs for 5 minutes if its hot outside. Sometimes it turns back on but it dies and sometimes it doesn’t turn back on at all. Replaced fuel pump, regulated carburetor, replaced gas line, have checked everything possible. Took to 2 mechanics and no success. Any ideas or suggestions?
