I just loved the nostalgia of the Premier Padmini S1 which we bought in the late 80's.. Our driver, Ustaad Ram Charan Mishra (i touch my ears while takin his name!) taught me the basics as well as thoroughness of driving in the fiat.
I really miss the 'Queen' now!May 11, 2010

69 Italian compact! More economical and stylish than the lumbering amby. fun to go round turns in the hills.. was peppy for its age.... never broke down.... but ran out of fuel though!!!
Nice to hold narrow rim steering and column shift was not much accurate at times... brakes had a mind of their own.Apr 06, 2010

Actually this was a Premier Padmini 1970 model derieved from the Fiat 1100 1969 model. This car was gifted by my Grandfather and it was a lovely car in tip top shape. I miss it.............
Performance - very goood in the acceleration.
Build - very strong and sturdy not like these days
Appearance - a lovely car which u can really modify. It was an all black car with black tinted glasses. No one could ever guess its age.
Cost of ownership - quite good compared to present cars.
Fun factor - real fun to drive, be it an open road or with a lot of traffic. Good to maneuver.

opasno.
Jan 09, 2009
