Found this one-owner, 55,800 mile truck locally a couple of years ago. It's a short bed, V8. The body was very straight, but the original paint was chalky and faded beyond repair. I had it repainted in the original Mojave Yellow and White color scheme. The bench seat was redone in NOS material back to original appearance. Other than typical tune up stuff, no major mechanical repairs were needed. This truck is my toy. I keep it stored indoors and take it out on nice days and to local car shows, etc. It is a lot of fun. First vehicle I (pseudo) owned.... My dad bought it as a utility vehicle (and something to keep me out of his car). It was a standard, 3 in the tree with the old 225 slant six with a manual choke. That thing would always start, no matter how cold it got. It developed a problem after a while (this was 35 years ago so my memory is a little foggy on just what the problem was other than the shifting linkage used to bind and lock it in 1st gear some times) so dad sold it and bought me my next car which was a ford pinto.Aug 15, 2009
