does anyone know the cost of upgrading my 65 falcon 170 (c4 transmission) (4 bolt).....to a 289 and anyone who could do the work...

My first car, I still miss it. Maybe I will replace it one day.
I love this car so much my dad and I restored it.
It was a Futura model with a 289 V8 with and automatic trans.
I loved just droping the top and cruising listing to the dual exhaust rumble
along with the power from the V8, it was hard to keep tires on it. LOLJul 08, 2013

Love the paint color .. Mandarin Copper...Very nice interior.. Dash all done over with new Autolite Gauges..1200 miles on engine .. 400 miles on clutch and tranny..19 inch Mickey Thompson tires..Center line wheels.. Racing Tach..No Shock mounts been taken out Custom rod front end..Edelbrock Carb 750Dec 05, 2012

Car was a very comfy ride even as low as it was, It was a nice cruisey car. It stood out more then most cars on the road and was a big head turner. It was lowered 3 1/2 inches and was painted blue with a white roof. It had a white interior.Nov 17, 2011

These cars last forever. Their engines (specifically the 200cu) just keep going and going. The only thing to ever be concerned with is the fact that it tops out at about 70 mph, and on some SoCal freeways, that could actually be a dangerous thing. But, if you're into cruising, this car definitely can get the looks if you spend the time to do it right.Sep 11, 2011

the styling is pure '60's but comfortable on long drives. Some of the parts can be hard to find such as gas cap,etc. Six cylinder good on gas, but not as peppy as an eight. LOVE IT. It's SWEETAug 08, 2011

This was one of the funnest cars I have ever owned. any time you have a light weight car with a V8 in it your going to have a fun car to drive. Add to that a small block Ford, this car had a 289cid, Cyclone headers .487/.511 lift, 298/300 duration Solid lifter cam, Holley 600cfm carburetor sitting on top a single plane manifold, full roller rocker arms, ported 351W heads with 1.90 and 1.60 valves. Hurst Shifted Toploader 4 speed, 9" 28 spline, 2 spider gear Equal-Lok limited slip rear axle, 4.11:1 gears. Now this car has 2-3 time more power then it had stock., you had to be careful accelerating away from a stoplight, traction was a big problem with this car. This car was Scary fast.Nov 15, 2010

A classic cruiser 1965 xp coupe very little performance, limo
tint windows gotta love the 60,s. Low as possible.
Got it for 9,500 painted at MMCR a few minor mechanical
repairs, brakes radiator dulux rebuild etc etc. the end

Most folks that know me know that my 1965 Ford Falcon is my pride and joy. This car survived a lot of dumb stuff we did as teenagers, and is now sitting quietly waiting for $$$ to undertake some dramatic repairs....I still Love the Falcon.Sep 16, 2009

Peppy inline 6 cylinder. Three speed manual transmission. Good fuel economy. Build quality was good. Appearance was boxy but cute. It was my first car, so I thought it was the best car in the whole wide world. I daydreamed of how I would customize it. Jul 06, 2009

when replacing my fuel tank, I had to install it upside down so that the filler hole was on the right side, BUT that meant that the fuel sending unit was upside down, thus I don't get a fuel reading. Can I drill a new hole for a new fuel sending unit?

Turn signal malfunction
Today i noticed on my 65 Falcon, that my drivers side front blinker was not working, but the rear was. i inspected the bulb and it looks fine, I then noticed that the passenger side rear was not working but the front works fine. could this be a flasher issue?
