I bought this car for what many thought was the princely sum of $8K. I sold it some years later for over $20K to put an addition on my house. Today its worth close to $100K. A great early BJ8 (Mk III) 3000 Healey. It was all original, low miles and best of all it was a Phase One car (before they jacked the car up to put a different exhaust on in later 1964.)Jan 14, 2013

Fantastic classic car, but I had to sell it, because I had to buy some things, when Miikka was born. Sometimes I still miss it, especially when the wether is sunny, I could have it in Spain now in the sun.Sep 09, 2009

I bought the car in 1985 in a partly restored state from a Dealer in Holland. I had it finished in dark British Racing Green paintwork, and had 72 spoke chrome wire wheels with wide radial tyres. I then had the then current European Classic car champions team rebuild the engine and transmission to full race spec ..... 549 cam, Mahle racing pistons, lightened flywheel, fabricated manifolds, and short 'straight thro' side exitting exahust, etc. Had the car trimmed in the UK by an ex Aston Martin trimmer, in Biscuit Tan Connolly hide and Wilton carpetting throughout. I raced the car at Zandvoort and once around the banked circuit of Montherey near Paris. I even used it as my wedding car for my first wife, and then sold it for a penny to a friend, to avoid it being part of the divorce settlement. I vowed never to sell it, keeping the car for 18 years, but ended up selling it in 2003, to pay for my second wife's (devil bitch) pick up truck in Thailand. The car is now somewhere in Cornwall, being rerestored by a retired old guy, who is somewhat of a perfectionist .... and i regret not getting rid of the wife first instead.May 29, 2008
