She is solid as a rock. parts are harder to find compared to lets say a '61 Falcon. She is sturdy and will look great when I am done restoring it. Is has a Ford 170 cid motor in it, which is totally rebuiltNov 18, 2014

Its taken me a few years to start this project. It's hard finding parts for a car so old. I am determined to have it done by the spring of 2015 and hitting the open road and briniging back the good old days when a car was car !Nov 10, 2014

I think the wagon got ripped off in the fin dept. Still a sweet 60's ride though. Loads of room for dogs and plywood. Obviously she's not done yet, someday maybe. It's a fun car just the way it is. I put a 289 in over 10 years ago, that helped the performance huge!Aug 31, 2008

Can someone with access to a 1961 2-door sedan please provide the following measurements? The width of the door A-B. The gap for the rear window B-C, The length of the visible section of the curved Beltline trim B-C & the rear Beltline trim C-D. I have a 1961 mercury comet that stalls when i put it in reverse or drive but idles pretty well. Please help

Why does the carburetor overflow?
I have a 1961 Comet 232 with a holly carburetor. It runs fine but after a minute or two gasoline starts spilling out of the top of the float chamber. The float valve seems to be working in spec. Is there another possible cause for the overflow?
