Overview
The ol’ Toyota Camry is as reliable as it’s ever been. While you can get it with a smaller four-cylinder engine, the V6 is where it’s at. Nobody expects over 300 ponies from a Camry and while the car is set up more for comfort than sport, you can still eke out a good time. And with 33 mpg on the highway, it’s a good commuter car as well. Competitors include the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Hyundai Sonata.
Key Features
- Safety cage construction
- Police floor console
- Rear window and door deactivation
- Front seat steel seatback panel inserts

Reviewed a 2011 Toyota XLE V6 on Aug 14, 2012
While I wasn't considering a Camry initially, I am amazed to say that after returning to test drive it (after test driving multiple other manufacturer makes & models) again I was sold. The XLE V6 offered the best all-around blend of power, fuel economy, and amenities at this price point. If you're looking for a vehicle that is a status symbol, you won't be pleased with this car. If you're looking for value, dependability, economy, and performance all rolled up in one, go test drive one today.
