Overview
The GMC Sierra 1500 – when taken in combination with its Chevrolet Silverado 1500 twin – is one of the most popular vehicles in the United States. The Denali used to be the top dog in Sierra trim levels, but in recent years, it’s been overshadowed by the AT4X and the Denali Ultimate. The Sierra 1500 Denali is available only in the Crew Cab bodystyle, either with a short or a standard cargo box, and in rear-drive or four-wheel drive. Three different engines are available, from the 5.3-liter V-8, the 3.0-liter Duramax inline six-cylinder diesel, or the 6.2-liter EcoTec V-8 (in four-wheel drive only). All of the trucks feature a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Key Features
- 355hp 5.3-liter V-8 standard, standard 10-speed automatic transmission
- unique Denali chrome grille, six-inch chrome assist steps, chrome vertical recovery hooks, dual-projector LED headlamps, and GMC running lamps with signature C shape
- 40 inches diagonal of combined driver-focused digital displays, WiFi hotspot, Amazon Alexa built-in capability
- Perforated Forge Leather seating surfaces, patterned aluminum trim and chrome accents, premium instrument panel and door trim with chrome and open-pore walnut detailing
Pricing Details
The GMC Sierra 1500 Denali has a base MSRP of $62,800. Used examples on CarGurus range from $10,071.50 to $81,713.00 with an average price of $15,752.14. Options including the diesel engine ($1,800) and the 6.2-liter V-8 ($3,300) impact the price dramatically, as do option packages like the Denali Reserve Package with power side steps, a power sunroof and adaptive cruise control ($4,630).

Reviewed a 2011 GMC Denali Crew Cab AWD on Jul 28, 2013
I've had this truck for 2 1/2 years and have had no mechanical issues of any kind. It has been on long distance road trips and provided us comfort, lots of room, and reliability. I will be buying a new Denali sometime soon.
