The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT is the mid-tier trim level of Chevrolet’s popular Heavy Duty 3/4-ton truck lineup. Unlike the more expensive trims, the LT is available on every body, bed, and driveline configuration of the lineup, offering a regular cab, Double Cab or Crew Cab, in standard or long bed lengths, and in rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The LT is available with the 6.6-liter gas-fired V-8, the 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel. The gas engine gets a six-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel is equipped with a 10-speed Allison transmission, either with or without a provision for a power take-off (PTO) for running upfitter accessories like a hydraulic dump body.
