The main trade-offs that show up in recent expert coverage are styling that some shoppers may find plain, cargo space that trails some rivals, and a stereo that can feel underwhelming.
31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is generally low, but the best results usually come from choosing a well-documented example with a clean history and regular maintenance.
What should I look for when buying a used Toyota Camry?
Across all model years, at 72.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 91.9% |
| 2025 | 90.5% |
| 2024 | 86.4% |

| 2016 | 45.6% |

- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −5.13% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −2.37%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 33.9% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 34%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $30,041. The Toyota Camry offers a smooth ride, roomy cabin, and easy everyday comfort that make it a dependable all-around sedan.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The Camry combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors to produce 225 horsepower in front-wheel-drive models, while all-wheel drive versions add a third electric motor and raise output to 232 hp.
- Tech: It features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the optional Drive Connect subscription adds cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and an Intelligent Assistant conversational voice recognition system.
- Safety: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every 2026 Camry and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, road-sign assist, and high-beam assist.
- Starting price: Prices range from $30,595 to $36,995, including the $1,295 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for 2027 inventory to mature.

Overall, the Toyota Camry has earned a reputation for its reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency across all model years. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, spacious interiors, and impressive safety features, making it a solid choice for families and commuters alike. Many appreciate its stylish design and ease of maintenance, contributing to its lasting popularity. However, some criticisms include the occasional lack of power, underwhelming acceleration in base models, and the absence of modern technological features in older cars. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Camry is often viewed as a dependable and practical option for daily driving, earning high marks for its overall value.

Good value for a new car considering used prices are a bit crazy right now. Ride is smooth , absorbs bumps and harsh roads are not a problem for this car. I average about 60 miles to and from work everyday and so far I average 52 mpg, most of it is highway miles too. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone.

Bought a 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid yesterday and it seems like a great car. I really like the idea that I can recharge the electric battery just by breaking and letting off of the accelerator. It has a lot of room and it was comparably priced with the Corolla.

overall

Affordable, efficient, and safe, the 2026 Toyota Camry is all about practicality.
Available in five trim levels, each equipped with a standard hybrid powertrain, the Camry is one of the few remaining midsize sedans for sale in the United States. Toyota stopped just short of a complete redesign for the 2025 model year, and the 2026 Camry lineup continues mostly unchanged, adding a sporty new Nightshade Edition trim level and a paint color called Dark Cosmos.
Verdict: The Toyota Camry is cheap to own, safe, and known for its dependability. Is that exciting? No. But fortunately, a 2026 Camry is also comfortable and good to drive.
