Power is routed through a new nine-speed automatic transmission to rear-wheel drive (RWD). The high-output diesel engine is also available with AWD. When properly equipped, the Sprinter can tow up to 7,500 pounds and it has a payload capacity of 6,812 pounds. ## Interior In is largest configuration of extended-wheelbase and high-roof, the Sprinter Cargo Van provides an impressive 586 cubic feet of cargo space. The two front seats come with basic cloth upholstery, and upgraded cloth upholstery or synthetic leather upholstery are offered as options. The Sprinter is also available with power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and even front seats that swivel towards the cargo area. ## Technology The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is available with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It runs the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system, which generally has an easy-to-use interface. It also responds to prompts like “Hey, Mercedes…” and understands complex commands. A larger 10.25-inch version of this infotainment system is also available. The package that adds this larger screen also adds navigation and a wireless charging pad. ## Safety The Sprinter is offered with modern high-tech safety features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver-attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
