| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 92.2% |

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: standard driver assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
- Infotainment: an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
- Fuel efficiency: 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined.
Which Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?
The 2024 Hyundai Tucson offers these trims:
- SE: The entry trim includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, HD radio, power windows, and standard driver assistance features. It’s the best-value starting point if you want the Tucson’s core tech and safety features.
- SEL: This trim adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and two more USB ports.
- XRT: This trim adds unique black 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps, dark exterior trim, functional roof racks, and the synthetic leather upholstery from the SEL Convenience Package.
- Limited: This trim adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, genuine leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded Bose premium stereo system, memory settings for the driver’s seat, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Hyundai’s Smart Park remote-parking feature, and a blind-spot camera system.
What Hyundai Tucson do most buyers choose?
The Hyundai Tucson years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 7,714 | 34.8% |
| 2025 | 7,226 | 34.9% |
| 2023 | 6,565 | 34.8% |
| 2026 | 4,146 | 34.9% |
| 2022 | 4,045 | 34.6% |
| 2021 | 2,595 | 34.4% |
Higher-volume years usually give you more choices in trims, colors, and mileage, which makes it easier to compare listings and find the right fit. They also tend to be the years shoppers cross-shop most often, so pricing and deal availability are easier to evaluate.

| 2023 | $23,339 | −2.16% |

Most Tucson model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more value for your money. The steepest drops are concentrated in the newer models, while several older years are falling more gradually. A few recent years are still holding closer to their prior pricing than the rest, but the overall pattern favors buyers.
The 2024, 2023, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The 2024 Hyundai Tucson comes equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, 187 horsepower, and 178 pound-feet of torque.
- Tech: The standard infotainment system includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, while the SEL Convenience Package, XRT, and Limited trims all come with a fully digital instrument panel and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen.

I love the features, so much that I searched for this car until I found the best deal! Hyundai has stepped up their game in the automotive industry, luxury with an affordable price! This Tucson is in its own category, I have nothing impressive to compare it to at this price!

The car has great features, I wish it had more compartments. It needs somewhere to put your sunglasses. I also drove the Santa fe. It was really nice but also so much more now with the upgraded body.

Hyundai Tucson test drive
overall
The 2024 Hyundai Tucson packs tons of safety features and (occasionally) less-than-intuitive tech in an athletic, contemporary package.
With the growth and evolution of the compact SUV market, shoppers have seemingly endless options. And the growth of this segment has allowed for different models to grow in their own unique ways. The Mazda CX-5 is upscale and athletic, while the Ford Bronco Sport is a surprisingly capable off-roader. So what if you aren’t seeking a well-honed niche vehicle? What if you are looking for a small SUV that’s and overall great vehicle? The 2024 Hyundai Tucson answers that question as a well-rounded compact SUV that doesn’t excel in any one particular area, but instead covers a lot of what modern consumers demand out of their vehicle. This format is one that has been embraced by perennial segment standouts like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.
Verdict: The Tucson is a well-rounded small SUV and a good value. It does not shine in any particular area, instead blending good performance with a comfortable and spacious cabin, impressive tech and safety features, and an attractive price tag.
