Which Hyundai Sonata Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid offers these trims:
- SEL: This is the best-value trim if you want the core hybrid experience with the curved display, wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, HD Radio, Sirius XM, two rear-seat USB charging ports, and a wireless charging pad.
- Limited: This trim adds navigation, natural language voice-recognition, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, a blind-spot-view monitor, a surround-view monitor, Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist system, and Remote Smart Parking Assist for shoppers who want the most advanced convenience and driver-assistance features.
What Hyundai Sonata Hybrid do most buyers choose?
The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 495 | 31.5% |
| 2024 | 465 | 37.2% |
| 2026 | 396 | 33.1% |

What is the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2016 | $9,811 | −18.53% |
| 2021 | $16,984 | −11.67% |
| 2014 | $7,404 | −10.57% |

| 2024 | $25,930 | −1.93% |

Just got my cheeks on the 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, and I’m loving it. The gas mileage is insane, I’m getting around 50 mpg! The switch between electric and gas is so smooth, you barely notice it. Inside, it’s super comfy and spacious. The tech is easy to use, and the infotainment system works great with my phone. Get the limited trim if you like music, if not the SEL is cheaper and lighter and probably just so ever more efficient. Surprisingly, it’s got a nice bit of kick when you need it. Overall, it’s a great mix of efficiency, style, and practicality. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a hybrid.

Styling and tech updates enhance this fuel-efficient midsize sedan.
It’s easy to discount the value of a family sedan with so many crossovers on the road. But the fact is that this body style makes a lot of sense for a lot of families. The more manageable and maneuverable the vehicle, the better for teaching budding young drivers. Lighter weight also translates to better fuel economy, not to be sneered at when there are mouths to feed and tuitions to pay. And your typical midsize sedan is plenty spacious for four.
Fortunately, automakers have not forgotten about the venerable family sedan, keeping one another on their toes with updates, and it’s consumers who stand to benefit from that sort of healthy competition. Now, it’s the 2024 Hyundai Sonata’s turn for a mid-generation refresh.
Verdict: We already liked the Sonata Hybrid, and this refresh only improves it. The styling update and generous standard feature set make it a compelling choice, and the real automatic transmission is a virtually unique selling point.
