Ford revived the iconic Bronco SUV in 2021 and immediately had a hit on its hands. The automaker couldn’t build them fast enough, and they’re still hard to find a few years after the reintroduction. Ford offers the SUV in a wide range of configurations, including two- and four-door models and a separate, much more hardcore Raptor variant with a twin-turbocharged V6. Though similar in styling and attitude, the Bronco is generally easier to live with than its main rival, the Jeep Wrangler. ## What’s New for the 2024 Ford Bronco Ford shuffled trim levels for 2024, removing the base configuration. The larger 12-inch screen is now standard, and a heavy-duty bumper now comes with every Badlands model. ## Design The Bronco’s look varies wildly depending on the trim and options. Ford offers several wheel and tire combinations, and the SUV is available with two or four doors. The now-base Big Bend model features a carbon-gray grille with white Bronco lettering and 17-inch wheels with 32-inch tires, while the Black Diamond has a powder-coated steel bumper and rock rails with heavy-duty bash plates. Ford also offers a Heritage Limited Edition trim that brings a white grille and red lettering on bright, vintage-inspired colors. ## Powertrain Ford offers three powertrain options for the 2024 Bronco. The entry-level setup includes a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that makes up to 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. A turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 is available that produces up to 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque on premium. Both engines come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the four-cylinder can be paired with a seven-speed manual transmission. ## Interior The Bronco’s interior finishes and styling vary by trim level, with some offering marine-grade upholstery and rubberized flooring. Ford made it easy to remove roof panels and the doors for quick open-air driving, and there’s enough space for adults to ride in either row of seats. The four-door model has better cargo space and rear legroom, but the two-door is surprisingly spacious. ## Technology Ford made the 12-inch touchscreen standard for 2024, ditching the 8-inch unit from previous models. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, and HD radio. Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment software is one of the best in the business, bringing crisp graphics, responsive controls, and easy-to-understand menus that make it less distracting to use while driving. The Bronco is also available with an upgraded B&O audio system. ## Safety Ford equips a few advanced driver aids as standard, and others can be added. Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking come standard, and buyers can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure alert with lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and more. ## Pricing Pricing for the 2024 Bronco starts at $39,130 for the two-door Big Bend. Stepping up to the four-door pushes pricing to $39,870. At the top of the standard Bronco line, the two-door Heritage Limited Edition runs $69,685, while the four-door starts at $71,105.
