Underwhelming. Lots of hard plastic. Not what I expected out of Buick at all.

I thought the car itself was great, pricing was the issue.

I had been looking at Cadillac but decided to look at the Buick Envista! Chose the Envista because it drove nicer at a much more reasonable price!

The features and the value is nice. It would be nicer if there were vents in the back of the car and dual air control mode. It saddens me that my 5 yo is suffering longer than I am to cool off. It breaks my heart. I absolutely hate the backup camera. When you backup at night, the camera isn’t clear AT ALL! It’s terrible. I have never seen anything like it and I’ve compared it to other vehicles. You’d think since this is a brand new vehicle the backup camera would be crystal clear when compared to older vehicles. When I back up I can’t use the camera. I have to back up the “old fashioned” way. GMC really needs to fix this issue like yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s just my Envista or all Envistas but it’s definitely a problem. It only happens at night but that would’ve prevented me from purchasing one if I had seen that. Other models I liked was the Sport model. That model was fabulous! Just a little bit above my spending range. It had more of the features that I do like but I’m just not sure about the backup camera because it was daylight. I do like my car. She’s still looks sporty without being the sports model and she’s pretty. Definitely next generation for Buick! I receive a lot of compliments and a lot of people often stare at me while I’m driving. If I can get my backup camera fixed I will be a satisfied and happy customer with my vehicle.

How much does the Buick Envista cost in today's market?

Used Buick Envista prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Round Range
2025$25,149$23,017 – $25,729
2024$23,627$23,621 – $24,762

The Buick Envista's current nationwide average price is $24,602, and its lowest point over the past year was $23,212. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Buick Envista a good car?

Yes — the Buick Envista earns a solid owner response overall, with the all-generations user rating anchoring it as a generally well-liked used choice. The strongest recurring trade-offs in expert coverage are sluggish performance, interior materials that feel cheap, and unimpressive safety ratings.

The all-generations owner rating is 4/5 across every model year in the data.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2026 models among the highest across all years.

39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Buick Envista models reliable?

Owners consistently rate the Envista positively overall, and the expert coverage repeatedly praises its style, easy-to-use technology, and practical everyday appeal. Across the model years, the strongest themes are value, attractive design, and straightforward usability.

  • Owners rate the Buick Envista between 2.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For long-term ownership, the Envista looks best if you prioritize simple, value-focused transportation and keep expectations aligned with its entry-level positioning.

What should I look for when buying a used Buick Envista?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Model YearAccident-Free %
202692.2%
202591.4%
202490.5%

Key things to evaluate:

  • Fuel efficiency: The Envista’s underlying engineering also aligns with its price tag. It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. And while Buick markets the Envista as a crossover SUV, it’s not available with all-wheel drive (AWD)—front-wheel drive (FWD) is all buyers get. Output (if we could call it that) measures 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm, and the Envista’s base curb weight is 3,137 pounds without any occupants. Over more than 300 miles of travel, our Envista test car averaged 28.1 mpg, falling short of the official EPA rating of 30 mpg combined. On our usual evaluation route, which is mountainous, the Buick averaged 25.7 mpg, but on a separate 30-mile fuel-economy evaluation loop with only a driver aboard, the Envista returned 30.5 mpg.
  • Infotainment: Housed within a single trapezoidal glass surface with stylish rounded corners, an 8-inch digital driver display, and 11-inch touchscreen provide basic functionality. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio with a short complimentary trial subscription, and a Wi-Fi hotspot are standard, and two phones can simultaneously be paired with the infotainment system. Wireless smartphone charging is part of the Studio Series upgrade (and standard on the Avenir trim level) but operates slowly by modern standards.

Which Buick Envista trim should I buy?

The 2026 Buick Envista offers these trims:

  • Preferred: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Envista’s core style and value-focused character.
  • Sport Touring: This trim adds a sportier appearance and is the best-value choice for many shoppers who want more visual flair without moving up too far in price.
  • Avenir: This is the most upscale trim, and it adds the most premium-feeling equipment in the lineup.
  • Studio Series Package: This special edition builds on the Sport Touring trim with extra style emphasis, and it suits buyers who want the most distinctive look.

What Buick Envista do most buyers choose?

The Buick Envista years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Model YearTotal ListingsGood + Great Deals %
20251,93339.2%
20241,51238%
20261,07340.2%
202742143.7%

Higher-volume model years usually give you more shopping choice, which can make it easier to compare prices, trims, and condition. They also tend to be the most visible used picks because there are simply more examples on the market.

What is the Buick Envista's resale value?

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Over-Year Change
2024$23,627−4.59%
2025$25,149−2.08%

Prices are moving lower for both model years shown, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. The smaller change on the newer model year suggests it has softened less than the older one, while both remain on a downward path.

The 2025 and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Buick Envista safe?

  • 2026: 4/10
  • 2024: 7/10

For the safest used buy, the 2024 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Buick Envista now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

  • Price trend: The 2025 model is at −2.08% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −4.59%.
  • Deal availability: The 2025 model has 39.2% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 38%.
  • Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $25,149. The Buick Envista offers stylish design and easy-to-use technology that make it appealing as a value-focused small SUV.

Consider waiting if:

  • Powertrain/efficiency: It’s available only with a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and it returned 28.1 mpg over more than 300 miles of travel.
  • Tech: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless smartphone charging is part of the Studio Series upgrade.
  • Safety: Standard features include forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and high-beam assist.
  • Starting price: Buick sells the 2026 Envista in Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir trim levels, with prices ranging from $26,495 to $31,295.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
