What’s New for the 2024 Audi S6
For 2024, the S6 features an athletic new grille design with a chrome honeycomb pattern. It also features new headlights and is offered with new colors.
Design
The new colors offered for the S6 include Grenadier Red Metallic and Ascari Blue. Trims for the 2024 S6 are Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The Premium comes standard with 21-inch alloy wheels and Matrix-design LED headlights. The Prestige adds HD Matrix-design LED headlights. A Black Optics package is available with matte dark gray wheels and dark exterior accents.
Powertrain
This athletic sedan comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine. It makes 444 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD). This configuration is good for a zero-to-60-mph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. The S6 comes standard with a Sport adaptive air suspension system. The Premium Plus and Prestige trims are available with a Sport S package ($4,000) that adds four-wheel steering, red brake calipers, a sport rear differential, and a sport exhaust. These trims can also swap out the air suspension for a sport-adaptive steel suspension.
The 2024 Audi S6 returns fuel economy of 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 22 combined. The S6 requires premium fuel.
Interior
The sophisticated interior of the S6 comes outfitted with leather upholstery, power-adjustable front sport seats, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and quad-zone automatic climate control. The Premium Plus adds LED ambient cabin lighting, heated rear seats, and a leather-wrapped dash. The Prestige adds soft-closing doors.
Technology
The 2024 S6’s interior features two touchscreens in the center console. The lower screen operates climate controls and vehicle settings, while the upper screen manages entertainment, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. The S6 also comes standard with four USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, a Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, voice recognition, HD radio, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system. It also comes with a fully digital instrument panel that Audi calls the Virtual Cockpit. Wireless device charging is available on the Premium and is standard on the Premium Plus and Prestige trims. The Prestige is available with a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.
Safety
A number of advanced driver-assistance features come standard on the 2024 S6, including automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Moving up to the Premium Plus trim adds a 360-degree parking camera system, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The Prestige has a head-up display and parking assist.
Pricing
At the time of this writing, the 2024 Audi S6 has a base MSRP of $74,700 for the Premium trim. The Premium Plus trim starts at $79,000. The top-end Prestige trim starts at $82,900. The Audi S6 is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty.
