Alfa Romeo bills the Stelvio Quadrifoglio as “the fastest SUV available in the U.S.,” based on its 7.51.7 circuit of the Nordschleife at Germany’s Nürburgring. Unlike the Dodge Durango SRT8, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is powered by a comparatively small engine with two fewer cylinders: a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 that develops 505hp and 443-lb.ft. of torque for a top speed of 176 miles per hour. The vehicle’s Q4 all-wheel drive system is said to disperse power to all four wheels “for optimal acceleration.” These are all equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
