I emailed Vandergriff in regards to a vehicle. I was shopping several dealerships and specifically stated in my email I was looking for out the door pricing with no additional dealer add ons. I received a price quote from the dealership. It was a really good quote. I confirmed with salesperson there were no dealer add ons on the vehicle. After the test drive, I was informed that there were $3200 in add ons that could not be removed. Welcome to the typical dealership games. The dealership would not budge on the add ons. I advised my salesperson that I would not be doing a deal with them and left. I ultimately purchased a vehicle from another Honda Dealership which was true to their words about no add ons. Don't waste your time shopping this dealership. It is the typical dealership antics that make car buying an absolute beating. There are several other great dealerships within a 40 mile radius that don't play these games.

Typical bait & switch sales , had a $3900 reconditioning fee added to sales price that wasn’t advertised on there website or Carguru? There price on Carguru was $1000 cheaper than on there website they shrugged it off and said that’s Carguru then it changed on Carguru after I brought to there attention. I did buy they truck after negotiating but paid more and service or response after the sale has been terrible

They responded promptly and were nice but hid a few things about the car. It had no coolant, too much oil, and the paint has already started coming off of it even though I've only had it for a week. They were open to negotiating the price though...so that's a plus.

Total bait and switch. Inquired about a 2014 Impreza STI hatchback they had listed at about $26k. Automated emails followed with zero showing of the car and all emails bounced when responding as mail not deliverable. I requested several times for them to email back from an email I could actually respond to, when I finally did get a hold of someone they knew nothing about the car I inquired about and then they proceeded to jack the price up $3k and continue to be bots. What a scam dealership. All Texas dealerships are like this though not the only dealership I’ve dealt with in Texas. Buy your car anywhere else

Very busy computer problems didn’t get my paperwork completed upon purchase had prequalified through CarGurus and still had to submit qualification paperwork? Clean facility seams like they have a friendly staff but when I was already approved for a loan I shouldn’t have had to spend 4 hrs. At the dealer

Absolutely do NOT recommend this dealership. One of the worst experiences we've had. We contacted them about a 2016 Yukon XL they had listed on their website for $40,385. We were all-in and ready to make the purchase. After days of visiting they tell us the price is $44,529 and that the price was black and white on the website. Nowhere on the site was that price listed. We have screenshots of the corresponding price & vin. We said no that's not the price on the website, we won't pay that. They offered to meet us in middle of $42,500, which we accepted. They then take back their offer of $42,500 the next day. We have tried to contact the manager and they will not call us back. They have now changed the price on their website to the "correct" price (according to them). Therefore, meaning the price was not black and white on the website like they said & we still have not heard back from a manager. Horrible customer service & a terrible way to conduct business.

I scheduled a visit for Saturday to look at a car since that was the only day I had off for the week. So, Saturday comes by and almost 2 hours before my appointment the car is sold and I wasn’t notified until it was closer to time of my appointment. Letting this be known that I went out 45 minutes just to turn around and go home.

Horrible experience. They took my $500 deposit and were nice to us on Friday when we went to see the jeep. We told them about my credit and they said they would work with me and would call me the next day so I could finalize financing. They never called Saturday si I called them. They said they were busy and would talk to me on Monday. On Monday they called and said all sorts of excuses as to why they couldn't work with me to include being self employed. Self employed people get cars all the time. Then they said i had already exceeded my 24hrs they had to hold the car. They gave me 4hrs to get a co-signer and then the released the car to go to auction. When I asked fo r my deposit they wanted to sell me whatever they had, or scraps and gave me the run around to get my deposit. 2 days later and 3hrs and the dealership to get my money back. DON'T ALLOW OTHERS TO GO HERE!!!

The dealership was fine. I approached them with the intention to buy the car in full and wasn't interested in any other vehicles. They were mostly accommodating, though getting access to the vehicle itself ended up being a hassle. The website price ended up being very misleading as the dealership tacked on over two thousand dollars in extra fees and taxes. Despite being up front with the dealership from the moment I contacted them, this wasn't revealed until two hours after I arrived. I generally have low expectations from a car dealership. The car is fine. The price was good. The experience was frustrating.

I would not recommend buying a used vehicle from this dealership. After failing to answer my questions about this vehicle several time, I finally received a phone call from a sales rep stating that they did not actually have this vehicle on the lot. Then they started with trying to direct me to another vehicle. Talk about a bait and switch operation.

Asked for information on the dealer's vehicle and provided sufficient information on my vehicle to get a trade in value. Salesperson did not provide either. Told salesperson I couldn't take personal calls during business hours. He kept asking for my phone number. He contacted my banker and got my phone number. Salesperson never asked if he could contact my banker. It felt like the salesperson was trying to work all the angles.

I did buy a car from them but I would not go back. One person showed us the car, another did financing. While waiting on finance person they put us in a room with 4 screaming children even though they have a nice waiting area. They used all the age old annoying car sales techniques. They constantly complained about being too busy.

Awful experience. Even though the salesman brought the car out filthy, I was still considering purchasing it. It performed well, but price could have come down a bit. After 2 hours of going back and forth with the salesman, I decided to shop around. I’m glad I did. I ended up purchasing a brand new car (obviously at another dealership) for the price they were trying to sell me an 8 year old car for. Also after I left Vandergriff, the salesman called me multiple times accusing me of taking the keys to the car I test drove :/. And the obnoxiousness continued daily for a week after with them calling to hassle me about my experience and if I still was interested in the car. They actually marked up the vehicle in question another thousand dollars. I guess to make it look like a good deal when they “knock off” a couple grand. Good luck with this place car shoppers. I will not recommend this dealership to family or friends.

Lacking in the customer relation/communication department. I arrived for a test drive with the approval from my bank for amount asked for online. Window tags were priced $2,000 higher than internet price. I couldn’t even test drive the car because it was empty. Then when I mentioned I had already been approved from my bank the salesmen insisted on shipping out my credit to all there lenders. It turned out to be a big cluster and battle vs Salesman and finance Dept. I’d rate them 1/10th of a star. Very bad customer relations. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I got the car the day I went to go see it. The front trim was cracked so I brought it up to them and they fixed it at no cost. I had a good experience with them as a first time buyer.

They tried to charge more than advertised on CarGurus.com. At first, it was $5000 more. I showed them the ad, then they knocked it down to $1250 more plus TT&L. I wanted the car so bad, but I couldn’t reward their behavior and ultimately walked away from it.

Found a great deal and went to look at the car. Loved it and purchased that day. The sales staff were very friendly and helped with financing. They offered extra things like warranties, but were not overly pushy about it. Overall I had a great car shopping and purchasing experience.

Friendly service. We had an issue with some small coming from the back. Vandergriff took care of it and gave us another vehicle while they did. They only issue was that it was like pulling teeth to get the status of our vehicle to pick it up.

Worst experiebce ever. Christian was on his cell phone telling someone how much he loved them when I walked in. Too busy to great me. About 10 minutes later i was directed back to his desk. He seemed uninformed that he was supposed to show me the 2017 ford taurus even though i had at least 2 emails from him. I test drove tha car and loved it. I decided to purchase the vehicle. He had me fill out an application and left me sitting at a table for a good 45 minutes. When he came back, he had added $8,000 00 to the price of the vehicle. I was extremely angry. I told him to give me my keys, i was done. He brought back, I assume a sales manager, who like Christian never introduced himself or shook my hand. I demanded my cat keys and left. I will never waste my rime going to a Vandrrgriff dealership again.

My experience at Vandergriff was wonderful. George answered my questions over the phone quickly and accurately. The van was ready for me to drive when I showed up. It was clean and full of gas. They were ready to make a deal without pressure. The dealership put the van through an intense inspection before I drove it off the lot and has been in contact me since I bought it to make sure everything was good. I would highly recommend using Vandergriff Honda for buying a used vehicle.

Dealer talked to me on the phone twice with rather lengthy conversations before they revealed they were already working a deal on this white 2018 Charger Scat pack. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing... or they just wanted to string me out for potential other business. Either inept or shady.

I wanted to test drive 2012 Toyota Sienna at this dealership today (07/11/2018) since there are no photos added in the listing, I asked the sales rep to send the photos.Dominic sent me three photos on driver side and it appeared to be good. so I drive an hour to test drive the car. I was shocked to see the car on passenger side since the total passenger side has major dent, almost all the areas on passenger side got damage. They hide it and trying to sell by calling three times and sending multiple emails. This shows their ethics of business. They were clearly hiding the damage and wanted me to come in to their dealership. so at least, I can look for different cars. but I didn't. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone since they hide many things and who knows the car you bought might have got issues and you might come to know later. They dont have any ethics in their business.

First persons contacted were nice. Things went downhill after price was brought up. My wife did not like the sales behavior she witnessed with other customers while I was out for a test drive. We decided the van was out of our budget, but the salesman continued to try to sell. Salespersons should take into consideration the health of customer in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank. Our time was very limited.

When I asked about specials and told him that I got a good deal he didn’t believe me and told me to bring a document proofing that and he will match it. If he is gonna only match why would I even go to him. Eventually he turned out to be right and I misunderstood the offer but his attitude made me not wanting to go to him

Horrible experience. I drove 7 hours to get a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0 only to get there and they tell me that the price listed on Cargurus is incorrect. They never could give me the correct price of the car, but all they could say was the price listed on the website was incorrect. I will not recommend them to anyone and I WILL NOT do business with them. My question is this, is the price is incorrect, why has it not been fixed yet? This car is STILL listed for $25,968.

Very slow to reply back, hard to bargain with, wanted to charge me an outrageous $500 dollar documentation fee, I offered to pay $300 and they refused. Got a call back four days later saying they would take my offer, but it was too late, I ended purchasing a vehicle somewhere else. Lost deal for being greedy.

Wish there was a zero star option. HORRIBLE experience here, and would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Deceitful practices and treated with such a lack of respect that it was appalling. Even if they had the best deal, I will not be back. HAD been told this previously by a friend...wish I had listened. When we first arrived, the salesman told us he needed us to walk with him through the lot to locate the car we were there to see. Although the car was no longer even at the dealership, he continued to walk us around pretending to search for it, all along stopping to push us to consider cars either outside our financial range or nothing like we were looking for (looking at sedan for 16 year old and he was encouraging 2 seater sports car, even having him drive it through the lot to search for the other car. We did eventually find a similar car and test drove it, after being told It was in our price range that we gave him up front. After coming back to office to discuss, he kept disappearing for long periods of time, eventually came back with a manager and neither of them were willing to even give us the list price. We came back later and were finally quoted a price WAY above the range we had stated. TOTAL waste of our time.

Drove a long way to purchase the vehicle and had to wait till the next day to purchase it. I waited over 2 hrs the next day. I got a deal after all but it wasn’t easy. The salesman was helpful and finance did move quickly once we got in there.

Typical Car lot crap.Lie to them to get them in, Hit them with a price over list. Don't give anything for trade.I wish one day this crap will stop and car lots stop paying commission's on gross amounts. I was told that we were real close over the phone and when I arrived we were $7000.00 apart... Drove back home 125 miles and was called back at 6 and said they would do the deal as promised. Typical car dealership crap.

They responded... but the person acted like they hadn't actually read my question, and simply went with the "let's schedule a time for you to come in and test drive it". Without my question being answered, I saw no reason to pursue the vehicle. It's WAY overpriced, anyway.

Went to see vehicle they pulled vehicle around Salesman stated vehicle was making a squealing sound and it was the timing belt. Told him wasn’t interested if the timing belt was causing an issue. He then stated he didn’t know what was wrong he’s not a mechanic. Turned out to be a pulley that was froze So we turned off the vehicle and it would not start again. Cells and then got on his phone while I was talking to him and walked away. Very rude would not recommend only reason they are getting one star is because I can’t give them zero stars.

Biggest scam I ever experienced. #1. I received 3 replies from the dealership, informing me the car was still available on the day that I went to the dealership. We drove about 70 miles, based on those three emails saying the car was still available. #2. When we arrived, the salesman first told us, the car was sold, then changed his story and said he couldn't locate it. #3 While looking at other cars, I found the 2013 Ford Edge. and indeed it was marked sold. The salesman then said it was sold on Sat. before we came in on Monday afternoon. #4. This dealership is deceitful, uses "bait" cars to lure you in, scams, lies, anything to get you into their dealership, just to try to sell you something else. Would never, ever, go back there and would never ever recommend this dealer to anyone. Liars, scammers, con artist, you name it. Bad bad bad. Should have read the reviews on them before I wasted my gas and time visiting them. Even a one rating is too high for them!!

Worst car buying experience ever! If there was a way, I would give them 0 stars. After spending almost 5 hours at their office, with the sales boy trying to make money out of me, and cooking the numbers back and forth, they told me that the car needed some repairs and had to go in the body shop! See, the thing is that I had secured my very low-interest financing from outside, and Vandergriff tried to make me use theirs at the same rate, but I said no. Then they tried to sell their extended warranty and I refused to purchase it either. Subsequently, all of a sudden, they find out that the vehicle is not in order?! After it has been sitting on the lot with the "Certified" label on its shield? Oh, and since this was not the car I was interested in and had not checked out its "Internet" price, I just found out that the "very low price" that they offered to me on this vehicle, was in fact the price they have it listed for on their web site! I wasted my whole afternoon there and I am happy I didn't end up buying anything from them! They just want to rip you off and show no respect for you as a customer ...
