Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We try extremely hard to communicate clearly and provide the best customer service, but sometimes we fail to meet our customer's expectations. I assure you that your concerns were a result of miscommunication than any attempt to intentionally mislead you. When the customer contacted us on the phone, they did not notify us of any issues with the vehicle. When the customer arrived the vehicle had a timing chain noise and a check engine light on. GMC Acadia vehicles have common timing chain, engine, and transmission problems and often the result is a vehicle needing expensive repairs that exceed the vehicle's value. We tried to explain this to the customer. We also tried our best to advise the customer that their best option might be to trade the Acadia in to another dealership. Ultimately, I believe the customer did go to another dealership and was able to trade the Acadia in for an acceptable trade in valuation. We explain the the warranty and the price the same way to every customer, every time, consistently among all salespeople and managers to prevent misunderstandings like this from occurring. We also believe a no hassle, no haggle, no negotiation sales process leads to a more pleasant experience and happier customers. Select Auto is a small, family owned and operated dealership. Needless to say, we are not a typical car dealership. Select Auto is a good dealership, we treat people with kindness and respect, and we only sell like-new used cars. I promise that we will strive to provide the best customer service and communication and sell the nicest cars for the best prices.
