False advertising. Listed price for one amount and then tried to add $2,100 as a “pre-conditioning fee” when I asked about a purchase. Do NOT trust this dealership!

very straight forward. Love my new jeep!
After calling to confirm vehicle availability, I was traveling from Tampa, about 60 miles, to the dealership and advised the sales agent I was getting there around 11:30am. When I arrived, walked into the dealership, no one at the front desk, walked around some more, went outside to look for the Land Rover, went around the back, through the service area, both ends of the lot, back inside and couldn’t find anyone to ask as the ones that were there looked busy or one guy taking care of a customer. Waited a few minutes, was never approached or asked by anyone if I needed help, so I just left. I don’t think I was too much trouble as I was ready to buy cash. I went to a different dealer not too far away and found a not so great deal but I was helped as soon as I walked in, and bought a nice suv. They were very helpful, courteous and professional. I gave them an excellent rating. Not so at Sarasota Chrysler.

Very helpful and responded right away.
Ad had no pics or price at first so I called and asked. Verbal price was out my limits so I kept searching. Next day I get a call from a salesman asking if I found a car yet which I told her no. During my searches I came across this same cars ad again but it was listed at a price within my reach. I called back and said I was interested in the car and again wanted pics. The guy all of the sudden stopped responding and never heard from him again. Next day another representative calls my phone and tells me car was sold. I instantly went to their site and they have it listed for 10k higher than what is was before. I called the lot and indeed it was still there. Since then I have received a call and numerous emails about if I still want to come look at it but as soon as I reply they never reply back. Dealership does bad business.

The bait & switch technique worked to get me to drive almost 2 hrs one way just to try to sell me a NEW truck when I had an appointment to see a specific advertised used truck—I told the salesman I wanted to see the truck I came to see, he says they sold it yesterday-(I had just spoken to Ariana the day before then Sarah later that night, Sarah said they’d send pics of the truck but never got them) so this was a big waste of gas and time for me. They did however offer to help me find something else,(from the very start)before I left.
Allow me to share my experience with Sarasota Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT
CLIFF NOTES: DEALERSHIP HAS CUSTOMER TRAVEL NEARLY 3 HOURS TO PURCHASE A TRUCK, UPON ARRIVAL DEALERSHIP ISNT WILLING TO HONOR PRICE LISTED FOR TRUCK, OR PRICE OFFERED FOR TRADE. DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY TELLS CUSTOMER THEY HAVE FLEXIBILITY IN MAKING DEAL ON TRUCK, UPON ARRIVAL CUSTOMER IS TOLD NO FLEXIBILTY AT ALL.
I inquired about A red TRX you have listed on car guru's and their website. I was almost immediately contacted by a woman named sarah via email and a gentleman via text. I explained my interest in the truck and my desire to trade in my 2015 ram. At that point sarah instructed me to email trade information to the main sales email . At this point I emailed roughly 20 photos, the VIN and mileage to the dealership . At this point I was instructed to send the same information to the salesman who had been messaging me while this transpired. I made it clear to all parties involved that I am in Ocal

payments within my budget. Fair trade for my previous RAM truck. I was

Terrible customer service from the inquiry phase into the negotiating. There was a lack of knowledge about the vehicles in their inventory. Would not recommend doing business with this dealership to anyone
Was in route to purchase a ram 1500 express from this dealership when I they called to inform me that the price of the truck unexpectedly increased by 1,500 dollars. Needless to say, I purchased my truck the same day from a different dealer who treated me and my family with honesty and respect. Go elsewhere!

Unfortunately my experience with this dealership was not a positive one. I live on the west coast and was searching for a low mileage 2005-2009 Subaru Outback in LL Bean trim. I decided to cast my net nationwide, specifically looking around the southeast to find a vehicle not exposed to road salt and harsh winters. My internet search lead me to this dealership where I found an Outback that matched what I was looking for. I contacted the salesperson and indicated that I would pay to have a third-party inspection service look at the vehicle on my behalf before purchase. The inspection service was contacted and an inspector dispatched. However, the salesperson then contacted me to say that some other local buyers were also interested in the vehicle. A few hours later, I received a brief text that the vehicle was sold. As a result, I had to call the inspection service and have the agent notified that his/her service was no longer required.
I fully understand, the dealership needs to make a sale. However, I feel that I should have been given the opportunity to at least put down a good faith deposit on the vehicle to hold it long enough for the inspection to be performed. Furthermore, my salesperson made no effort to apologize for inconveniencing me nor offered to seek out another similar vehicle that I might be interested in. I was left with the impression that my serious interest in the vehicle and its impending inspection was probably used as bait to pressure the other interested parties and make a local sale.
I have purchased vehicles long distance in the past twice in this manner and have never experienced this sub-par level of customer service.

We do apologize for this situation. Unfortunately, another customer bought the vehicle. As we informed Mr. ****, we do not hold vehicles. The first customer that gives us payment owns the vehicle. We cannot tell a customer they can’t buy a vehicle because someone else is coming to look at it, or sending an inspector to look at it.

The vehicle we were looking at was stated to have rear a/c with separate controls, however upon inspection it did not have rear air conditioning. That was a deal breaker for us. The salesman, Brian Smith was very nice and said he would work to find a vehicle that would work for us. We found a vehicle that was perfect for us somewhere else.
