“They asked me to put down $4,000, but I only had $1,000. I wanted my payments to be $200 a month, but they said that wasn’t possible. I guess the Jeep will be sitting there for a few more years.” “They never called me back to update me on what was going on—I had to be the one to reach out to them.”
Very aggressive to get you to come in or do a credit app online, But once you do the credit app you don't hear nothing from them if they can't get you approved. That seems to be a thing with most car dealerships these days.
How do they know the customer might have cash or another way to purchase the vehicle. I use to sell cars years ago and we where trained to still follow up with customer even if we could not get them approve, its common courtesy you never know what other options they have available.

Many internet contacts but in the end I found a car
elswhere. The salesmen kept contacting with
suggestions but when I became very specific in my
preferences they continued to send me photos that
did not match my stated preferences.

Not a typical car buying experience - counter the usual, even. The process
was straightforward, reasonable, respectful and honestly fun. Josh assisted
me with my test drive, purchase, tutorial and laughs. He was real and genuine
throughout - never felt manipulated, my preferences were top priority. Other
salesmen were great to me, too, and I wasn't even their customer! Sam was
friendly and helpful, spent time with me when I came back with my car, post
purchase, to show me some more stuff and just talk about Mazdas. And
Carlos! Carlos sat with me while I waited on paper work and helped me calm
down - just being kind. When I was ready to go with my new car, they all
genuinely cheered for me. When I came back, I was greeted with the same
warmth and enthusiasm. These guys love Mazdas, are happy at work and
that passes to the customer. Also it's pretty in there and they serve
cappuccinos. Mazda, take this staff on a fun trip - they're doing you proud.

Visited Brown's Chantilly Mazda on August 1, 2022 to view and test drive the car. Arrived to find the car was in need of tires (front tire
was actually low on air causing the TPMS light to illuminate). Asked if they could put air in the tire before we test drove it and was told no.
Got back from the test drive and raised concerns about issues discovered (tires were extremely worn and needed replaced, rear
passenger window did not work) and attempted to negotiate a decrease in price to cover items that needed addressed. Was told the
price was a take it or leave it .... we left it.
Called in a short time later and spoke with Michael the sales Manager and was told the car had not gone through reconditioning which is
why we discovered so many issues. We explained we were prepared to purchase it then but wanted the price reduced to address the
needed repairs. Michael's response was "if you cannot afford the car at the price we have listed then sorry".

The vehicle was priced at a good price. However, the dealer wouldn't move anymore on the price. I found the

It took almost of week to get what appeared to be an automated email reply regarding my interest in one of their used Mazdas. This is despite multiple calls on my part to try and simply get a price update on the car, which still wasn’t included in the email reply that was sent by the used car manager. Furthermore, I notified them that I was willing to buy the car unseen and have it shipped to NY due to COVID-19 and NY’s regulations regarding travel to Virginia. On the plus side, their delay in getting back to me allowed for me to find a single owner, 2008 Miata Grand Touring Power Retractable Hardtop, with almost 10k less miles on the odometer, a clean CarFax, for less money, and that was way closer.

This was a horrible buying expierence!! I will not recommend anyone to purchase a car here. My meeting with Laurie in finance was very shady. The price was confirmed via phone before I signed the paper work. I went home with car and a week later they are emailing me about them making a mistake and undercharging me. This is unacceptable and I've never been in this type of situation. Now they are holding my registration hostage until I pay for their mistake. This all should have been clarified before I went home with the car. Now I'm going to file a complaint and possible return the car.

I contacted them about the car and continued to communicate with
them throughout the day about my itinerary, but when I was halfway
into my hour drive out to the dealership, they told me they sold the car
that I was en route to buy! I was very disappointed, especially when
they tried to sell me a car that was $2K more than what I’d been looking
at. I had to turn around, go home and start my search all over again.
Definitely did not want to do business with them after that!

I was greeted and helped by a salesman by the name of Hider. Friendly, but sneaky. I drove from DC 27mikes to check and test drive the vehicle 1st. The next day I came with my check but prior to leaving I started a overview of the car. I heard a noise while opening the hood and Hider tired to bush it off as if it was something else. Basically this car had front end damage that was hidden from me. Another gentleman said that it wasn’t reported to the car fax so they said it’s a “Cosmetic issues, it’s still a great car.”FYI: If you plan to purchase from Brown’s ask if the car has any PHYSICAL DAMAGES NO REPORTED.

From first phone call to arrival at this dealership
all the staff were all amazing. I drove a long
distance to this dealership primarily because of
the previous reviews from other Car Guru'
shoppers and confirmed the validity of the
reviews. My salesman was John Gutierrez who
was one of the best car salesman I have ever
dealt with and was not pushy, like most car sales
people. I was able to get a great deal on a
Chevrolet Camaro that I purchased and the deal
was finalized by Manager Peter Friedman, who
was also a fantastic person. I would definitely rate
this dealership above five-stars if possible. I have
purchased from other dealerships and have
always been lied to and on the defensive but I
can guarantee that you will get your best deal
from Brown Chantilly. Keep up the good work

I did want to add that I thought it was pretty grimy that Peter (the finance guy) attempted to use my veteran status as a way to lure me. Offering such a low balling price on my vehicle and then offering me a measly $250 extra because he valued my service.
Suddenly, 24hrs later he is willing to give an additional $2250 after he realizes that all other dealerships were offering a fair price, that was pretty insulting and shameless.
He is the reason why his dealership lost the sale. Although I've bought a vehicle already, I would have gladly accepted the offer had he been initially upfront with me and not try to utilize his prior service as a way to soften me up and encourage me to take such a mediocre amount for my vehicle. This is why my counter offer was so low, I wanted him to see what a ridiculous offer sounded like.

Matt is a fantastic asset. He made every effort to

donated the car, and have a jeep I'd like to try
trading for the Audi, a gift for my wife.

Hassle free, smooth experience. Though the wait was a little long. They do, however, have some racing games on a PlayStation to keep you occupied

I received a prompt response from the Salesman in return to my inquiry. When we spoke on the phone he showed an interest in my situation and was not pushy at all. I had a tentative day to travel and view the vehicle, but my plans changed. I called and left a message about my cancellation and I received a timely response again. We have communicated by text and he understands my situation. Again, not pushy...I would definitely contact them again if they had a vehicle I was interested in.

I was contacted immediately regarding my inquiry. My schedule didn't allow me to go in for a test drive until the next day. Unfortunately, someone else came in the day before and purchased the car. The salesperson called me right away to let me know, to apologize, and to offer to help me with any other cars I might be interested in. I didn't buy a car from Brown's Chantilly Mazda, but I got great service from them and would recommend that people consider this dealership when looking for a new car.

This dealership is an excellent
establishment. I live over an hour from
the dealership and less than a day after
buying my car, it broke down. I called the
dealership and they arranged
immediately for my car to be towed and
fixed completely at their expense. This is
the best experience I have ever had at a
car dealership and I would definitely
come here again. The staff is also
incredibly personable and friendly as well
as helpful. 10/5 stars from me
