Worst experience ever. My first question to been was if they offered shipping, to which they said yes. Called a 3rd party shipper, gave me the cost to ship. So i then filed out the credit app. I was then approved, but in reality they ended up wanting 6699 down on a 8400 dollar car. They sent me the proposal which included shipping cost, 5000 down and a total price of 6558.95 for financing. I agreed to these terms and they were suppose to send the loan papers for me to sign. After a week i finally contact a sales manager who then tries to tell me they don't offer shipping, refuse to ship and want an Adiditional 1600 down. So, after wasting a week of my time, taking a hit on my credit from the credit check, and already receiving the proposal with all the numbers, they completely go back on our original agreement and terms. I have the proposal, all our text messages and emails from our correspondance. I would NOT recommend purchasing from here!

They responded pretty well after a few days to monitor called them said he would give me a different price on it they lowered it $1,000 but it was already $2,100 over market price and to me I thought it was just a little too much for a car that was 7 years old so I didn't really respond they they also sent me an email asking me if I wanted to make an offer but I felt like if they were only dropping $1,000 that and it was $2,100 overpriced it you know they weren't really going to drop enough for me to be interested but they were pretty decent about it I know they're trying to make money

I did not “buy happy” from this dealership.
Chad Lewis was a nightmare to work with.
This individual tried to sell me a vehicle with
a crack windshield. After noticing the crack
less than 12 hours after purchase Chad
Lewis told me I’d need to pay $250 to have
the windshield replaced. It wasn’t until I
threatened to leave bad reviews anywhere I
could that he agreed to replace the
windshield free of charge. Every negative
thought one can think about a car sales
person, Chad Lewis is. RUN if he as
anything to do with the purchase of your
vehicle.

This is my 3rd purchase using CarGurus and I purchase a car about once a year. Browns is easily one of the best dealers I’ve ever dealt with. I sent a interest request on a Monday night not expecting to hear anything for a day or two but was surprised when Brandon emailed me less than an hour later. After a quick Uber ride to the dealer the next day I found a car ready to inspect and test drive waiting for me. 2 hours later I was driving home in my new (used) Scion. This was hands down the fastest, most convenient, professional and pleasant buying experience I’ve ever had over my 20 or so car purchases over the years. It was so good that I passed along the experience to some friends and added Browns to a very small list of go-to dealers for future purchases.

Prompt response from contact person. When I requested a "hold" as I had to drive a distance to see the vehicle, request was denied although end of day arrangements were made to move vehicle to less visible point and call that vehicle had not sold. Felt vehicle was as represented when seen and was purchased as priced. Vehicle itself was the closer. Would have been a 4.5 rating if possible.

Dealer was very helpful and willing to negotiate. The car just had been traded in so was not dressed or thru inspection. I purchased the car anyway and it is being inspected and detailed over the weekend. Dealer was amenable to fixing things i could see at least cosmetically. Felt I could trust them to do the right thing.

Jonathan was amazing in Customer Service and the other members of the team we're professional and friendly. I would definitely shop there again and recommend this dealership.
I didn't purchase a car with Brown's Alexandria, but I found their staff to be
helpful. Specifically, Beau went out of his way to provide me information about
the car I was looking at and used car shopping in general. Kojo was very
informative on the test ride and both he and Beau helped me with the car
seats when a pinched nerve acted up. The dealership also provided snacks
and a stuffed animal for my son.

I bought car from Brown's Mazda of Alexandria, but I probably
overpaid for the car and I was initially told that I would receive a 3
month/3000 mile warranty with the car and then I was told that it
did not apply to this vehicle; however, on the phone another
salesperson said that all of the used cars came with warranties
with no out of pocket expense. I did eventually get a warranty,
which required me to pay half of the retail cost of the repairs. If I
had to do it again, I would not have purchased the car.

Great communication and offer of service. Was ready to check out a
car but Brian called to say the car was sold and saved me a 45 min
drive to the dealership. He followed up with a substitute, even offering
to drive it to me knowing the inconvenience of my driving to the
dealership. Though close to what I was looking for, I had to pass on
the offer and the car.

These jerks assured me the car was available on Friday evening, but when I arrived after a 50 minute drive first thing Saturday morning it was gone. Do they really think a person would buy a car from them after pulling a stunt like that?
