My experience with Toyota was interesting. For most of the process I worked with a salesman named Aaron. He was very concise in helping me find a vehicle that I liked. If I were to rate him directly I would give him 5 stars. Unfortunately, however, the dealership does not have a very good process as far as handling customers. My credit was ran by the dealership and after they confirmed my credit, they offered me a rate with a down-payment. I was halfway thru signing the forms to accept the deal when finance came back with an absolutely absurd offer. They wanted 10k down at 648 per month on a used vehicle that was involved in a major wreck before being repaired and placed on the lot. While some buyers may be okay with this, I would consider this an incredibly deceptive practice. If a rate is offered, it should not be offered until all of the fine details are confirmed to avoid confusion. Not to mention credit was severely impacted by their multiple credit pulls after I left the dealer.
This dealership an amazing job with me and my wife took care of us and the lady who did our sales was amazing Mia I forgot who our finance person was but he didn’t awesome job too would come back and get another car from them. Unfortunately, my car I was looking at got sold and I wasn’t fast enough but that’s OK but still do business with you guys again.

Jeff Gipson reached out to me right away. The
vehicle had not been checked over or detailed,
but I did stop in to see it. When my husband and
I were ready to consider this purchase, Jeff
recommended that we place a deposit. The
dealership replaced a tire and repaired a
windshield chip. We are very pleased with the
truck and the customer service was top notch.
I would not recommend this dealer. After working with them for a couple of days, agreed to an
out the door financing price and having my credit pulled, my offer was accepted. I could not
make it up to the dealer until the weekend, due to being 3 hrs away. They sold the vehicle out
from under me, because as they stated, "We can't hold a vehicle but will see what we can do." I
have bought several vehicles from dealers before and have even had one hold a vehicle for a
month while a trade in was being repaired. Worst experience
I was contacted by a saleman who informed me that they had just received the vehicle and
because it had not yet been through their service department, it wasn't ready for a test drive.
He offered me the option of viewing the car, which I did. He offered me the opportunity to put
a deposit down on the vehicle to hold it while it went through the service department - I
appreciated this option because another dealership did not offer that option in a similar
situation and the vehicle was sold before servicing and repairs were completed. The
salesman has stayed in contact with me, and unless there is a problem with during the test
drive, I intend to purchase this car. We have purchased vehicles from Pedersons previously
and will continue to work with them in the future.

Response from current dealership:
We do not use "bait car(s)" but we do, on a regular basis, sell the really good used inventory before it gets through the shop, makes it on our website, and then finally to CarGuru's. Every good sales person has a list of folks to call when these unique and rare used units come in, which is why they don't last, not due to malice on our part. Please keep checking our website directly as it gets updated, first.
I will not be doing business with this dealership. I was out of state when the Pederson sales person responded to my inquiry. The day after I returned I sent him a text asking if he was available to show me the Cadillac in an hour. He responded with only a "yes." I arrived at the dealership only to find that the car was not there. The salesman sent me a text while I was driving through the lot saying that another salesman had just taken a deposit on the car. When I responded that it was strange that the car was nowhere to be found on the lot when the car was just now sold, he came back with the answer that it was in the service bay.
This all took place on a Saturday afternoon. I believe the car was sold sometime during the week while I was gone and the salesman chose not to tell me hoping I would come in and he could sell me something else. Then he lied to me hoping I was naive enough to accept it.

A red corolla, at a really great low price, which was still listed on their own
website & gurus, supposedly had been sold for awhile but of course i was
asked to consider a different car. I told them it was still on their website
and cargurus and they should take it off.
Then again 2 weeks later, they still a red corolla for sale on their site,
looked very similar to the one previously posted, but i called them on
9/8/18 this time and asked:
"Is this car even on the lot?" and the answer was no, it had been sold
awhile ago - apparently on 8/18 (from their response to a text i sent them)
I will not be doing business with a company draws in customers without the
product - this is not ethical business.

So my daughter actually went to Pederson Toyota there in Fort Collins
was there all day getting a car and everything was great until the next
day when the dealership called my daughter and they had gotten to do
the check up etc... for a new car that just came in. My daughter took
the car in and she picked it up that night very lat to find that the
windshield had a crack in it right in front of driver's view and that was
not there, so the service department must have done and there were
some dings on the door, that were not there as she had taken photos.
Anyways she took car back in and they had the car all day and they
did not replace the windshield they threw some gel in it, but it is in
direct vision of the driver and it was not there before, my daughter
would have noticed and I am so tired of Toyota not taking care of their
customers in the service department. This was my daughters first
experience buying a car and that left a sour taste in her mouth! I am so
disappointed!

We were greeted upon arrival at Pedersen Volvo by Devin. He demonstrated the car and let us take it for a test drive. The car when we find the correct fit will be our teen daughter's purchase and Devin treated her as the buyer. He advised her but was not pushy. It was a pleasure working with him and plan to stay in contact while we continue the search.

The car was in an accident and a rental car before that. The dealer was honest when questioned but had I not asked for the Carfax I never would have known! Looks like a good deal until you look closer. Do your due diligence and then some especially at Pederson!
