Although we couldn’t get the deal done, it wasn’t for lack of trying, the sales manager I spoke to was clear and transparent, all dealers should behaved this way. next time I’m looking I’ll look here first

I received email contact from dealer, I replied with clarification questions regarding sales tax/licensing and request to set up third party inspections as I am an out of state buyer, have not heard anything back after 5 days. I will be not doing any business together, unfortunate

TL;DR: deceptive sales practices and unprofessional response from ownership. AVOID. I spoke with a salesperson. I visited and drove the car (a junky old Honda Fit--exactly what I was looking for). Their prior best price on CarGurus had been $6,988. This dealership changes prices constantly to generate churn; whatever. I offered $6,750 and they tried haggling me up to 6,800 because they (no joke) recently put gas in the car. We agreed on 6,750, I placed a $500 deposit, and asked the salesman to write this down because everything was verbal to that point. He did. A few minutes later, as I was walked to the the business/finance department for paperwork, the dealership verbally disclosed an $899 doc fee (more than 13% increase in total taxable cost of the car I had just agreed on). They refused to negotiate further and gaslit me on MA law. Got my $500 back and walked. Per MA AG: "When a dealer advertises the price of a car, the doc fees must be included in the advertised price."

Bought my first truck off of them. I'll def be back for my next truck. We agreed over a price over the phone and when I showed up they were honest with everything and got me even a better deal then we agreed on
