Car wasn’t described properly. Had a massive oil leak and they wouldn’t provide a detailed shop inspection report. After bringing up the oil leak safety issue they refused to budge on the price. In addition. The sales team never even offered us any other vehicle to even look at. The next dealer we went to showed us a car that we weren’t happy with either but then showed us a few options. We bought a vehicle from that dealer.

They hike the price up after running your credit. The advertised price is thousands less than actual price (even if you take their financing). They also charge a couple thousand for out of state buyers (even if you’re just across the border).

The 2 cars I wanted to look at wasn't there even after that morning they said they were. One
of them never was there they were waiting on it.
I did look at a few others but no dice. They were very helpful and they apologize for the mix
up.

The worst experience in my entire car shopping life!!! The so called floor manager is a petulant and rude individual. Racially profiled by said floor manager just because I have the money and the brains to do simple math. because he couldn't sell me the add on's. Disrespectful at its best. The mental distress talking to him was so exhausting!!! Talking nonsense, it was like talking to a wall. Do better McGrath

Terrible Honda dealers Specially Mario lopez and his pre owned director wasted our 2 hours and selfish wanted extra $1000 even after we agreed to pay there asking price for this crv seriously really bad experience with this dealership dont ever go there to buy a used car such a ridiculous dealers.
Asked for out the door price it was $5000 more than advertised price Sales tax would of accounted for about $2450 . they said the rest was for
title and state fees I felt like that was not truthful But I do not Know Illinois law. So I never pursed it any farther. I gave them 3 stars as I do not

We contacted them several times. They did not want to negotiate at all. It was the typical run around. We live 4 hours away and wouldn’t talk. Left a message with the “ manager” with a messsge never even called back. You can tell they are neat Chicago they are rude and have the roles reversed thinking you owe them. Buyer beware of this poor dealer. I think we will buy one just like it down south where people have manners. What’s bad is I made a reasonable offer and didn’t even get a counter or anything. What’s kind of funny is I was a buyer but I’ll buy from someone else. Very poor
All their cars are listed $1,500 to $2,000 less than actual cost. They say it's for ceramic coating and undercarriage protection. I can't believe
dealerships still run this scam. It was a scam when I worked as a car porter 30 years ago in high school, and it's a scam today when trying to
buy a car. It's simply a negotiating tool so they can remove this artificial cost, then say they've reduced. They couldn't even keep that lie
straight. Some of the salespeople claim it's already on the cars, others said they could remove the charge because it couldn't be applied yet.
Finally got a verbal number from their GM Francisco, but when I came in, best they would do was $800 over what we agreed upon. Maybe
he's angry that I noticed the cracked windshield and wanted to cover that cost. Either way, I'm done dealing with McGrath.
Extremely helpful. Not pushy. Actually caught on to my situation and did not try to steer me in another direction. Very friendly. Did not buy there....yet.

Dealer was quick to respond to my inquiry and the truck was just as represented.
The truck was clean and ready when I went to see it and test drive. Everyone there
was friendly and courteous. My salesman Shane was very good at explaining the
different features of the truck and answered every question I had. I purchased the
truck and would highly recommend this dealer.
Dealer response was quick. Answered my questions and made purchase. They could have done better on my trade. But overall was good.

I contacted this dealer about a Jeep they had for sale. The next day they called me, and
wanted to set up a time for me to come see the car. I explained to them that I have a
disability that made it impossible for me to drive to their location, and asked if there was an
alternate way in which we might conduct the transaction to purchase the car. I was told "We
don't do that." I was ready to make a deal on the car in question, but I guess this dealer
doesn't really care to deal with customers with disabilities. I've had great cooperation from
other dealers in the past, in dealing with my disability, including bringing the car to my home
for a test-drive and doing all the paperwork. Amazing......end of the month, end of the year,
sales projections to be met, the week after Christmas when hardly anybody is buying a car,
and they just blew me off. I'm extremely disappointed !

Although I did come in for and did set my sights on the 2009 Hyundai Genesis, I walked - err, drove out with a 2018 Chevy Malibu which was way more practical and exactly what I needed. I love my new car. My sales rep was awesome, transparent, helpful. He really took the time to assist me and answer any questions I had. I will be coming back here for future purchases (I don’t care if I currently live an hour away or six) I felt no pressure to purchase the whole time. They did honor the online listed price. All their cars have $900 in options added that they can’t/won’t take off. Found another $399 In accessory charges they slipped into our final bill of sale that we then made them redo. We got the car we wanted at a good price in the current market but be very careful and watch for extra unexpected charges.

Not sure....Price listed online as $41,997 and the price communicated is $50,000. I appear to me they follow the old bait and switch philosophy. Not a fan.... I think this tactic will not produce loyalty or favorable referrals in the near future!

read your finance contract thoroughly before you sign. they will sneak in around $1895.00 extra in fees. call them out on it and refuse to pay

Stay away from this place, I called and made an offer on a car I had already looked at myself the day before, the sales manager George called me back and seemed to be upset about my offer ($2k)under asking price which I thought it was a good starting point of negotiation but the so called manager seemed to be upset that I made that offer, I asked him to give me a counter and he said maybe if you came in $200 to $300 I would and he hung up on me?? Really? what kind of place is this? I have purchased many cars over the years and never been treated this way. Someonelse will be happy to get my business (cash purchase). Stay away from this place not worth your time.

Didn’t buy from them, but gave me all information I asked for in a timely fashion.
Car was in offsite detailing and not available for showing. Customer drive 30 miles to see vehicle not ready to be viewed. When asked rep why is it on site if its not ready, his answer was full of none sense and had to do with folks coming from out of state which made absolute no sense. Good luck with this place.

Another dealership that plays games! Drove 1 hr to view car after being told it was ready to view and drive, upon arrival car cannot sale due to some BS, this is happen after telephone confirmation before coming to shop, and was suppose to call

Had to fight tooth and nail to get a reasonable price and a reasonable offer for my trade in. They originally offered 3K for my trade in. Just saw they listed it for $8,500. Good thing I didn’t settle on that terrible offer for my trade in.

The dealer was awesome. We purchased this car, and the entire experience was great.
Good persistent follow up and they knew which car i was interested in. I did get turned off about them just before i planned on going in, because they called to be sure i was coming in for an appointment that i never made. I told them I'd try to make it over this Friday or Saturday after work, but never made any appointments.

Our salesman Bryan was very personable and knowledgeable about our car. We got to the dealership about an hour before closing. Bryan and Ocelyn(sp), from the financial department,did not try to rush us at all, even though we stayed well beyond closing.

Car had been wrecked and the person I talked to said that it wasn't a big deal and that they wouldn't come off the price any. I don't know about you but If the carfax follows the car, it will always have been wrecked. I decided to look on CarGurus for another car and found the exact same car with lower miles on it for a better price that wasn't wrecked before!

I requested e-prices from several dealers, and this experience was by far
the worst. All other dealers responded with pricing while McGrath Honda of
St. Charles responded with a poorly formatted listing of vehicle details that
not only didn't include pricing but wasn't even for the requested model. In
the same e-mail they told me I needed to come into the dealership, clearly
not understanding what an e-price request was.
They then followed up with another poorly formatted email which, though it
included pricing, was for yet a different model - still not the one for which
I'd requested information. Needless to say, I bought the one I wanted from
a different dealer.

Worst experience at a dealer ever. They made an offer on their internet page and when I drove an hour they would not grant it. They could not even produce the car. They supposedly had the car buried in snow at another parking lot with the battery dead. I was asked twice if i was actually serious about buying the car. After being disrespected i decided to leave. Well I did buy a car, but at a different dealer. And it is an SI. It is also the color I wanted for a great price of 21,200.00.

Car was poor condition with brakes grinding and rear main oil seal leak. Worn everything for mileage. Had advertised before even cleaned up. Was ready to buy on site but they didn't budge on price even after I showed what I saw was bad. Car needed over $4000.00 of repairs that I saw and they couldn't talk. Was treAted as my time was the last thing on the importance list. For a car that was 17 years old and needing so much work, they should've been negotiable on price. Didn't care about my time and I drove far in rush hour traffic to see car. They blew this experience. Waste of time!! That's all it was.

on my visit the same or next day of my
inquiry. I drove a little over an hour there.
After explaining what car I was looking for
he found two matches and
had retrieved the keys for the two
vehicles that were in another holding lot
to test
drive. But when he asked what he could
do to sell me the car today, I advised him I
had to wait for my 19 yr old daughter to
return from vacation in a few days to get
her
final approval since it eas a gift for her. To
that he replied "well than come back when
she's here. No sense in adding miles to it
then." He said I could drive to the lot to
see it and wrote the stock numbers down
for me. I refused to give them my
business and made the purchase thru
another dealership.and
within the week I purchased my daughters
first vehicle. They valued me and my
business.

The car was not what it was listed as. Needed a lot of work both on the body and the mechanicals. I will never contact that dealership again! I drove 2 hours, each way, to see the car only to find it was a fixer upper.

Very pleasant buying experience.
The salesman was truthful, couteous, friendly, and efficient.
He arranged a test drive and hastened the paperwork process for us.
No high pressure techniques....just always, "how can I help you."
We slept on our decision, and he was fine with that.
I would go back and buy again.

I had to call them multiple times, the vans weren't accurately described
online, and were VERY overpriced. I drove an hour out of my way while
on a very tight time schedule for cars that were supposed to be ready for
me to see. Not only wasn't the man I'd told I was coming waiting for me
(40 minutes after I'd spoken to him), but the cars weren't ready. When
another salesman took me out to see them he only brought one key so
we had to wait for him to go all the way back for the second - since they
hadn't brought them up like they'd said. Total waste of time and negative
experience all the way around.

They listed a 2011 Honda Odyssey with NO miles on it. Naturally I
inquired, THAT one was no longer available, but had another one
that I had zero interest in. Told "Lanna" what I was looking
for, and to let me know when something comes in. They fail to tell
you that once you have asked about a vehicle, their email barrage
is second to none. I have responded several times to stop the
email blitzing, but to no avail. I still get the cyborg Lanna's emails
every day, without fail. TWO TO THREE TIMES A DAY. Epic Fail.
