Great service and management of customer expectations. We traveled from the Twin Cities to purchase a used vehicle. Prior to arriving our rep , Chris, managed what was need for quick transaction if the vehicle met our needs. We arrived to find the vehicle waiting for test drive, washed, and filled. The test drive went well and the time to contract was perhaps 10 minutes most. If you go, ask for Chris…..he exceptionally managed the transaction.

On Thursday, I had called the dealer about the RX 350 with only 30,000 miles to inquire if that was accurate. The dealership said it was so. So I made an appointment for 1
pm for Saturday two days later for me to take a test drive, About 10 am Saturday morning the dealership in Wausau texted me that another party had just decided to buy the
Rx 350. The text also said that they would keep me in mind if another RX 350 would be available in the future.

The dealership was extremely helpful with everything including replacing the headlight assembly (free of charge). I have nothing to complain about. Financing was a breeze, salesman wasn’t pushy, and they gave me more than I expected for my trade in. Great place, great people, highly recommended.

Glen my sales guy was a good guy, seemed a little busy on a Saturday at 9 in morning but I like the no pressure sales, but the car was sub par. They were right there as far as price and believe me I did a ton of research on the web before I even went to look at a car. I drove 80 miles to look at the it and it needed tires, brakes and rotors and they didn't feel it was their job to fix those issues, they said they sell cars the way they are. I was prepared to buy the car that day if it didn't have those issues, so c'est la vie!

The staff at Toyota Wausau (Debbie) were quick to respond to my email, they asked me when I could look at it and set my time with a salesman. Glen was great to work with. He had the vehicle running with the AC on since it was hot out to cool down the inside when we arrived. Glen did everything possible to make sure my family and I were comfortable during our time there. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, it wasn't awkward and seemed like we already knew him, but also wasn't pushy at all. He wanted to make sure it was what we wanted. Not a "typical salesman" and was one of the best experiences I have ever had buying a car. The overall impression of Glen, Debbie, Toni, and everyone at Wausau Toyota was excellent, we will definitely go back, and have already been recommending to others. Thanks Glen.

Terrible customer service , finance office was
very rude and inconsiderate during my time there
. If I wasn't in need of a vehicle I wouldn't
purchase from them at any cost . The vehicle I
purchased from them will now require at least
$1000 worth of work due to a coil issue that is
causing a random miss fire . Sales person
however was very polite and understanding. I
purchased a 2010 traverse from them , buyer
beware . I understand a used vehicle us just that
used but I believe they should make sure
vehicles are at the very least road worthy and
won't require major work just s month into
ownership . I've made a few attempts to contact
them and still have yet to hear a call back .

My wife and I worked with Tyler K., it truly was a fantastic experience. Tyler
was very polite and genuine and seemed to really care about our needs in
a vehicle. We went on very cold day (nearly -30° with windchill), the vehicle
we were interested in was warmed up and detailed very nicely. Even
though the dealership was very busy, all of the staff worked to make sure
people were being handled in a timely manner. Brendt (financing) gave us
plenty of options and helped us choose the one that worked best for us. I
didn't feel pushed or pressured, and even though we did decide to
purchase the additional warranty, we felt we purchased the vehicle and
warranty and were not "sold" it. I trust my new Tundra will last year's to
come. I have been a fan of the Toyota product for years, Toyota of Wausau
delivers the excellent service that should come paired with Toyota's
excellent product.

I was very interested in a truck on their lot and inquires about it. One of their sales staff called to set up a time to come down and look at it. When I arrived later that day I found out that the whole time she spoke with me on the phone about setting up a time to look at it and test drive it, it had be sold earlier in the week. What a waste of time and lack of communication

It was an uneventful experience, the general manager wasn't willing to work with the price at all. In fact, the price was $1800 higher than the general marketplace for the year and make. I thought there was an art to salesmanship however its clearly egocentrism and misdirection at this dealership. Think about it...if the GM acts this way how do you think his staff act. Don't waste your time

Was contacted immediately from a representative. They continued to update me on the vehicle. The original car I was looking was sold, and they informed me right away, as to not waste my time. They then offered me a few other choices that I was interested in, and set up an appointment with a sales associate one on one. Sales associate, Fong Yang, did everything and more, and went above and beyond to get me in the vehicle I needed. The price was very fair, the vehicle's history and Carfax were made available. I found one problem with the vehicle, the heated seats were not working, and they were fixed immediately upon my request before the purchase. Over all I am very happy to have done business with them. Friendly, courteous, professional. I am now a proud and happy owner of a beautiful Toyota 4runner...

Obviously they did not want to sell cars that bad. I was interested in this vehicle. Had cash ready to buy and they did not want to negotiate the amount at all. The car has been sitting on lot since August. I went to another dealer in the area & bought a similar vehicle with similar miles for 1000 less.

Good buying experience. Had car available when they said
it would be available. People professional and courteous.
Thought the exterior finish should have been detailed -
buffed and waxed well for such a low mileage, newer used
vehicle. Otherwise, great education about the electronics
and a good 'walk' through the systems on the car.

Britton from Toyota of Wausau is VERY aggressive and doesn't pay attention to detail. He doesn't care about you, or what you want...oh he'll TELL you he does. But his whole approach is about as transparent as glass. All he cares about is that you buy a car...and SOON! He's not a direct sales person off the lot. Rather, he's the guy who will call you when you send in ANY kind of inquiry...even from carguru.com. He'll proceed to bug you and bug you and bug you via telephone, even if you SPECIFICALLY indicate that you want all communication to be limited to email (which I did). The review further down this list that says "No pressure from dealer, only email communication", in my opinion, is UTTERLY bogus. He completely disregarded this request...even though he DID acknowledge seeing it. Then, after "breaking the rule" once, just like a 3 year old, he basically assumed it was okay to continue doing it. I CAN’T STAND people like that and I will never even CONSIDER purchasing a vehicle from Toyota of Wausau because of it. When I called Toyota of Wausau to complain about him, the receptionist said that there have been numerous other complaints about him as well. I spoke to two people that day at Toyota of Wausau and I was told that the phone calls would stop. Two days later, guess who called me?? Yep, Britton from Toyota of Wausau. I finally just told him that I already purchased a vehicle...THEN he said, "Oh you bought a car already? Well thanks for letting me know that", as if to say that I should have called HIM immediately and that all his time has been in vain. Boo hoo hoo! At this point, I hope it really WAS for him. Maybe next time he’ll pay attention to detail. But I highly doubt it. “Caveat Emptor” at Toyota of Wausau!!
