So many details left out on this review. We felt like as reputable dealer we were justified with an appropriate response.  The customer drove this car a few days before actually making the purchase and made no concern about an "odd" smell, otherwise we would have addressed it. He also drove over an hour each time to come look at the car, which must mean the car was a great deal. We felt like as reputable dealer we were justified with an appropriate response.  The customer drove this car a few days before actually making the purchase and made no concern about an "odd" smell, otherwise we would have addressed it. He also drove over an hour each time to come look at the car, which must mean the car was a great deal. The car was also on consignment, meaning we were selling it for a friend, which the customer knew.  After delivery, the customer just happened to find a basic prescription bottle in a small compartment under the dash. A simple overlook that was missed.  (Its not like he found a bag of weed)  The car was near empty after he test drove it. However, after we went and ahead and discounted the price 500 dollars, even though it was the best deal he could find across the whole Wasatch front, we still put 40 dollars of gas in it.  Yes, the check engine did come on, but the part the customer is leaving out is that the car was under factory warranty and all he had to do was take it into the BMW dealer where the repair was completed for free, no charge to him.  Almost  anyone knows that anytime you take a car in for service, the dealer is gonna do everything in their power to find something else to try and up sale the customer on.  The best the BMW dealer could come up with with was a recommended oil change, because of the expired time not miles (oil was clean), and a couple air filters.  Sounds like the previous owner actually did a pretty good maintaining the car if that's all the dealer could find wrong. In response to this review, we are pretty confident that the consumer has our dealership mixed up with another one else since we don't have any employees name John and never have since we've opened.  Of all the employees we did have in August 2022, none of the even had a same similar same to John.  Also, when we run credit and get someone approved, we always let that customer have the first shot at purchase as long as they are in route to the dealership.  The only time a car would be sold to someone else is if that customer was still debating on the purchase or if the loan had not been approve
