Hertz Car Sales Des Plaines

After going to look at a car that was not "available" yet but was listed on website. I continue to follow up because i was really interested. Then when i tell sales person i opt to not look at the car, he was unprofessional and rude. I see the bad ratings but i would expect more from a large company

They were horrible. The initial contact was good. She made an appointment for me the next day at 5 PM. When I did not see the car anymore online the next morning, I emailed them asking if it may have been sold and if the appointment was still standing, They never replied so in the afternoon I called them before going out there and I had an unfriendly man on the phone who just told me it was sold. I never got an apology that they didn’t call or reply to my email. He overall seemed not interested in my business, so I will definitely never go back there.

I contacted them about purchasing a vehicle and they told me not to bother because it'll be gone over the weekend. Then they called me up to tell me they raised the price and asked if I still wanted it. never again.

Most unpleasant experience price went up 1700$ when interested in car and such big car rental company and playing those games.very sad.soon i send request for 2019 toyota camry and look car later price changes from 14500 to 16200$.

After speaking with Ricky from this office he was supposed to get back to me about the vehicle ,never heard from him again even after I emailed him a second time.

I inquired if the vehicle was still available as I was quite a distance away, only received a canned response, a real person never bothered to reply. No sale there.

Richard was extremely helpful, and we ended up purchasing the Sienna at a good price. He called me in the morning, and we set up an appointment. We went on a rainy day, and he had brought the car inside, waiting for us to inspect. One understanding in purchasing a vehicle from Herz. You cannot hold a car with a down-payment. Instead, either check or cash for the full amount, or you can take out a loan for the remaining amount. The loan officer was very helpful and clear about the process. It is seamless if you have good credit, and you walk out the door with the car fully registered and with the title applied for. Also, the paperwork fees are the minimal, unlike at traditional dealers. I highly recommend the process, and also the salesperson, Richard.

It truly is no haggle. I bought this car and I love it! From test drive to purchase complete was 2 hours. Fyi if you do rent to buy you do have to rent the car for 3 days before purchasing. But they refund your rental off the price of the car if you buy. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Very low stress buying.

Rich and Joe were great! Rich had everything ready for me , he went over all the details of the car with me before I even arrived. No surprises ! I pretty much knew I was gonna buy it after researching for weeks, but still no pressure. I walked in test drove it , and was out with a clean car in under an hour! I spent more time in grocery stores! I appreciate all the help and patience Rich gave. I would definitely by my next car from them.
