We received a response quickly. The listing was accurate. Gus, our salesperson, was knowledgeable and professional. We were pleasantly surprised by how well the process went; this was because of our salesperson. (There was a short delay finishing the paperwork, presumably because of being short staffed that day. ) We purchased the vehicle and would consider Hertz Car Sales Austin again.

Friendly salesperson and helpful. However, the car itself was not ready to be sold, it had minor issues that
needed fixing. Like the door handle was missing a piece, the car door would not lock because it did not have
the original key. I would have to wait a few days for it to be ready.

I ended up test driving two cars and the trax I test drove did not sound great, the engine was jumpy. I decided to go to the jeep but the sales guy (Ahmed) I “worked” with decided to waste 2 1/2 hours of my time and basically ignore me. At one point he tells me to sit in the waiting room because he has a customer coming in, so what am I? He also thinks I didn’t notice he took the jeep I was ready to purchase out for a snack run! He was rude from the beginning but it’s expected from sales people. All the rest of the sales guys just sat around talking about sneakers and smoked cigarettes, I get it’s Friday and the car dealership is the last place I wanna be don’t be rude and dismissive.
I was contacted by 3 different sales people, but only after I clicked the “text” feature on the app. I went to the dealership and test drove and the sales manager told me that Hertz is very weird about 3rd party financing, and that Hertz would not take a bank wire to pay for a car. After a really hard and condescending finance pitch I told him my bank would write a check, then he gave me the buyers sheet. The next day my banker had the check ready for me and I called my salesperson at 9:57 am and told him I wanted the Suburban and he told me great, and that he would get it ready for me. I texted him several times and at 1:30 he said that the Suburban sold at noon.
These are the rudest sake associates I ever encountered. Ahmed one of the associates spoke so rudely to me, demanding I finance with them at a higher rate then refinance with my bank later. I was already approved with my bank, he proceeded to tell me they do not hold vehicles that was being financed through my bank. Which makes no sense if I come to Hertz do all the paperwork and they get wired transfer they will not hold the vehicle. Absolutely makes no sense. Also I got phone calls all day from different numbers and different sales associate about the same vehicle.

Friendly, understanding, and even follow up. These times that customer service has been dead, not at hertz auto sales.
Someone called 1 time & was suppose to have someone call me back because we were wanting
to pay cash for the car. After waiting 5 days for someone to call me back I get an email saying
the car had sold. I was willing to drive the 6 hours to look at the car but never got another call
from anyone at the dealership.

Great service and no pushy salesmen.
My point of contact was a salesman named Jared. He confirmed vehicle availability, so I got preapproved by my bank and drove 6 hours to purchase a truck. The dealership opened at 9 a.m. and I arrived with my family at 10. He claimed the truck was sold an hour earlier and then tried to show me other trucks they had for sale. My family was disappointed and I was furious. I had my cell phone with me the whole time and he never called me to say anything about the truck being sold prior to our arrival. We left empty handed with a 6 hour drive back home. Terrible salesman service, because he knew we driving from out of town.

Working with Allan and Ahmed was perfect
Not pushy salesmen, really nice folks. However when dealing with their manager regarding my trade I was so angry I could spit nails! He was truly condescending and a know it all. He low balled me with an insulting offer for my trade. Not in a million years would I want to deal with him again. Stay away from the arrogant manager but go see Ahmed or Allan. They will treat you with respect, honesty and yes, laughter!!!

Dealer and employees were very good. Car was not ready because AC had to be serviced and one option we were told was on the car was not. It was the Lane Departure Warning. They did a great job of working with us and we are satisfied.

I would definitely recommend this dealership!! Prices are set at or slightly below Kelly Blue Book prices. These are fleet vehicles that were used as rentals; they are pulled before they start to loose value so cars are fairly new. The car we purchased was in incredible cosmetic shape. They were helpful & not pushy. Employees are paid hourly and not on commission which made it a low pressure situation. We worked with David, who did an excellent job!! We would definitely buy from them again!
