Nobody wants to sell me a car, because I can't go to the dealership, and my only contact is email, so much for online buying, guess I'll spend my 4,000 down on something else.

Overall, everything about my experience at the dealership was great, the sales process went smoothly and the staff was helpful. Unfortunately, the finance portion of the transaction was disappointing. The finance officer insisted that an optional item was required by state law when it was not. Based on that information, I reluctantly agreed to purchase it and later regretted the decision after learning it was optional. This misinformation significantly took away from an otherwise positive experience.

I was pre approved for the red 2018 Chevy Silverado. I paid a mechanic to inspect the vehicle. The mechanic recommended it got smogged again to insure it would pass inspection because of all the code that appeared. The man in charge refused, so I walked away. The only bright spot was the sales rep Peter, he was professional at all times, and understood me. Since then I’ve purchased a 2019 Toyota 4 runner and I’m happy

Michael Izawa and I spoke before my 7 hour drive to Folsom. I asked him 3 times to check the truck for any damages or pet odor/hair. got there late afternoon - only to find out scrapes to front fender/bumper, and importantly disgustingly pet hair , odor all over the truck. I pointed out both to Michael -- which I told him in advance that filthy truck will be a deal breaker - he said was sorry. This is unprofessional, unethical, how can he missed the very details that I asked him in advance!!! Dont be in car business if you like to lie and dont have eye for details. Dont get me started on his alcohol breath . Such a disappointment after all day of driving, paying for a rental , fuel etc.

We had a very good experience working with Mitchell and the other folks at Folsom Lake Toyota. Being a Toyota dealership, they weren't too knowledgeable about Teslas. But they were friendly, considerate, and not pushy. We ended up buying the vehicle, and a week later are quite happy with the purchase.

The guys over at Folsom Toyota, from the floor salesman to the finance manager, were very easy to talk and deal with. I have been looking for a new 2023 Toyota Tundra for over 2 weeks now. I would get the run around regarding pricing, finance, and availability of their vehicles. (ie: some were in transit but they didn’t want to pre sell them that day to me for some reason) So luckily I found Adam at Folsom Toyota. He LISTENED to my needs and concerns. He was very knowledgeable and helped walk me through the steps to reserve a Tundra they had in stock. We already had most of the paperwork done prior to stepping foot in the dealership. This buying experience was by far the best new auto buying experience I’ve ever had. The guys at Folsom Toyota are honest, open, and will help u every step of the way to making your auto buying experience a great one. I highly recommend everyone to check out Folsom Toyota for your auto buying needs. Ask for Adam or John Lee and they will take care of you!

The dealer was pretty responsive, although some of the early responses felt like they were templated or auto responses to an inquiry. I had an issue because the price at the dealership was much higher than the price listed for the vehicle. I was able to work out a fair price for this vehicle, and my assigned concierge was patient and straight forward with me on getting an out the door price without any sort of run around. I did have to wait quite a while for the financing person, despite already having my loan preapproval and a solid idea of what I was going to pay. The finance lounge here is pretty rough, the chairs are comfortable but pretty beat up—-not as nice as the front sales area. Overall, I had a good experience with Folsom Lake Toyota. Just be cautious of dealer mark up, and just with any dealer—-they are going to try and close you so you leave with less money in your pocket. Do your homework, come prepared, and you will have a great experience.

Tried to sell us the car for above the listed internet price. Told us the car was in demand - we knew it had been sitting in the lot for a few months. Didn’t wash the car or provide an overview on the car features. Immediately after driving away maintenance light came on for an oil change. Definitely wasn’t a service orientated sale.

I like that he was pretty laid back....he didn't pressure me. It was obvious i wanted the car so he just showed me all the features and made sure I got a good price for my trade-in. I was afraid it was going to be one of those cases where we got "well sorry, but the car you wanted has bee sold....but we have another to show you"....like they do for rentals. This wasn't the case - the car I wanted was real...and it was available.

The dealer did not inform me after selling the vehicle (that I was interested in) to some other customer, even though I had taken an appointment for test driving that vehicle. When I reached the dealership, the salesman pretended not to know about the sale, making my drive to the dealership a wasted trip. Secondly, the salesman tried to interest me in an older vehicle that I was never interested in, as if I wouldn't notice! If he had just let me know as soon as the vehicle was sold, that would have been professional and ethical salesmanship. Highly disappointing. They will certainly not earn my business, that is for sure!

I bought the car! Steve and John of the Internet Sales department were courteous, friendly and very efficient. I felt that the entire purchase process was very transparent and professional. The dealership is lovely. The car was immaculate and presented in the best possible way. The finance guy (I forget his name, sorry) was excellent. I drove home in a couple of hours in my new Toyota and am still smiling. I highly recommend Folsom Lake Toyota!

Worst experience with car shopping I have had in over 20 years. Since I had a two and a half hour drive each way to the dealership I asked multiple times about dents or dings that may not have shown up in pictures. The salesman assumed me the truck was fine with only a minor scratch and I would love it once I saw it. He even had me on the phone as he walked around it looking. Once I got there I see multiple dents and dings with one having the paint chipped off. He claimed he didn't notice them. On another note there was an invoice in the glovebox for over $2,000 of work that was not on the Carfax OR revealed by dealer. I left a review on Google similar to this and the General Manager responded asking me to email him. I did and heard nothing back.

Salesman Was nice but doesn't know about teslas.. complained about age of the rental teslas they bought at auction but will not negotiate- this story about making us an offer is a joke - priced too high for a basic car sold by a totota dealer- stick to toyotas

Great customer service and follow up. They were helpful in trying to put together a special deal for me but someone else bought the car I was interested in before I could get to the dealership. I would give them a 10 for customer service! Ask for Rick the internet sales manager-very helpful.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. They discriminated against me, and without any information on my credit or income and expenses claimed I needed a co-signer and that they could not make a $200-ish payment work on a 13 year old car that was priced well over blue book. They were rude and un-responsive in many conversations with multiple workers at this dealership. Their mistake, we are planning to purchase a couple of vehicles this year and will absolutely not be doing so at this dealership! Don’t waste your time and money with this dealership people! Unless you feel like getting discriminated just by the way you look.

No nonsense purchase. Vehicle had 2600 miles on it and and was priced right. Friendly sales staff, felt good about everything except the usual pitch to buy an extended warrantee, after which if you decline, you get the cold shoulder from the finance guy. Oh well.

I sent a request for a vehicle and someone called me back, they told me I needed to come down and I said fine. Since I have to travel over an hour to get there, I asked the sales guy to send me an email if the car did not see before i came down, that was a waste, no on called me and i wasted a trip.

Starting with CarGurus.com, I started looking for used Toyota Camrys. After visting several dealers, I decided I would be better off getting an older car from a reliable dealer. Sales Consultant Blong Thao answered all my questions, and after a few weeks, found me a car within my budget that met all my requirements. I bought a 2002 Toyota Camry Solar SLE V6, 166K miles, single owner, no accidents, lovingly maintained, new tires, runs perfectly smoothly. Very happy, and got everything, including 1 year warranty, within my budget. When I went over the car and the deal with my family, everyone agreed I had gotten a very good deal. As a first time car buyer, first time driver, I had to minimize my risk within my budget. I highly recommend this dealership for new buyers. All my questions were answered clearly, succinctly, and correctly, and all the details were taken care of.

John Key stayed in touch with me while I was traveling before I made it up to Folsom for the test drive. I was treated like a VIP by both John (Sales) and Steve (Finance). Great experience and Hohn took the time to go over everything in my new 2016 Prius. My girlfriend just bought a new Camry at a different dealer and they basically handed her the keys after a 2 hour wait. Didn't show her how to do anything on the car. Folsom Lake Toyota was AMAZING!
