I had a frustrating experience with EchoPark
Automotive in New Braunfels while trying to purchase
a vehicle for my younger brother.
I called ahead, confirmed we were serious buyers
paying cash, and scheduled an appointment for
Saturday since that was the earliest I could make it.
By Friday, I noticed the vehicle was no longer listed,
and I had to reach out myself to find out it had
already been sold. No one from the dealership
contacted me beforehand.
I was then told the vehicle wasn’t held because I
didn’t place a deposit, but this was never
communicated to me during my initial conversation.
Had I been informed, I would have gladly placed a
deposit to secure the vehicle.
Instead, my time wasn’t respected, and the response
felt dismissive when I brought it up. I recommend
they clearly communicate deposit requirements
upfront and keep customers informed, especially
when an appointment is already scheduled.

Everything was wonderful
***BEWARE*** After EchoPark set up an appointment for me to test drive a Ford F-150 pickup I was interested in, I drove 3+
hours (RT) to check it out. When I arrived at, the dealership, they could not find the truck on their lot. After 15 minutes of
searching, they "determined" the truck was taken to the San Antonio EchoPark and SOLD the day of my appointment. And
that EchoPark is just 2 miles from my house. I got NO advance notification of their error OR offer to make their mistake
right...just an offer to shop for another truck just before closing time. "BAIT 'N SWITCH?" This has really changed my mind
about trusting EchoPark...AND IT SHOULD CHANGE YOUR MIND TOO!

Katee Gonzalez went out of her way to give me the lowest price possible for my 2018 Chevy Colorado! I made an appointment @ 3pm for a Spanish speaking salesman on Monday 1/13 for my mom to view the car and when she arrived was told that the car had already been sold. Come to find out it was still available.
I said I would be in the next day and sent a text with time. When I arrived, I told them
the car I was interested in, gave them all my info, and keys to my car. The salesman
came back and informed me the car sold that morning. They could have replied to my
text or let me know immediately when I came in. Salesman said they had another car
just like it, but it had more miles and was $700 more. I said I didn't want to pay more for
one with more mileage. He said here are your keys and handed them to me. No
apologies. He did not even talk to his manager. I called the person I had originally
talked to and complained, but no one even bothered to call and apologize. I was ready
to buy a car that day. I got the feeling it was like the old bait and switch routine. I've
been buying my own cars for years and though the process can be difficult, I have
never been treated like this.

I was contacted no later than a day when I asked for availability on a 2024 Hyundai Elantra. I set up a test drive for this vehicle. Lincoln helped me from the moment I walked in for my test drive appointment, to me walking out the door with that same car. He was very informative on what they had to offer on the car and attentive to what I wanted. Amazing costumer service.

I truly loved dealing with everyone at Echo Park New Braunfels. They were all friendly,
informative and helpful. It's a very relaxed & no sales pressure dealership. Demitri was my
sales person and listened to everything I was hoping for in a new vehicle. They had a
Highlander and a RAV4 I test drove. I love that I gave them a copy of my drivers license & car
insurance & they gave me the keys to test drive on my own! I wasn't with a salesman and on
a square around the block test drive to make a $30-40K decision!
I also met a man there who came in with his son to buy a truck & I heard him say to the check-
in person this would be the 4th car they bought at this location. I stopped & asked him why.
He said they're honest, no pressure & he's always had great customer service & all the
vehicles have run great for them.
They didn't have what I was looking for but I would still highly recommend them to a friend.

I reviewed this dealers ratings and seams like they really take care of people that show up right away and they have the car in stock. However if you try to set up an appointment to see a car over the phone you are talking to someone in North Carolina who really doesn't know whats going on at the dealership you are going to. The same thing happened to me. Made an appointment 1 hour before their closing time to see a car first thing the next morning. Drove 45 minutes only to find out the car was sold "late" the night before and wasn't even at the dealership I drove 45 minutes to see it. It was at a dealership in the town I was in in and sold there the night before. Salt in the wound, could've gone to see it there the night before. You would think you would get a text or call telling you don't come see this car we sold it?

vehicle had been sold. I found out a few
days later that the vehicle had not in fact

This company refuses to use outside financing. I was approved through my financial institution at 5.5%. Through them the lowest rate they could get me was 19.9%. That's highway robbery. If I had decided to purchase that car I would have paid 9k more in interest than I should have. This place is a joke.

Our experience was good. All I recommend is if you see the vehicle from what ever dealer screen shoot the price with your phone. This vehicle was priced throughout Friday at 16,549 and when I went to see it later that day the price went up to 17,989. Luckily I saved the email and the manager there honored the price. Other than that wasn’t a bad experience.

They responded to my interest and were courteous and helpful
First off I sold my car to purchase this car. Rented a car to drive 2 1/2 hours to purchase the car only to be called and text when I was only 15 minutes away to be told they sold the car the night before. I was told that the internet sales person was to blame even though I repeatedly asked if there was anything else I needed to do to insure the car would be at the dealership and I wouldn’t waste my time and money to drive 2 1/2 hours dealership the next morning. They tried to find me another car in their inventory but I had no luck. The sales staff seemed nice and gave me visa gift cards to cover the price of my rental but I’m still without a car. I would suggest may to call the actual dealership so maybe you will have better luck then I did.

An Echo rep contacted me right away and was very polite. I was going to look at a vehicle there
but decided to cancel as they had their own banks they use to finance when I already had
RBFCU to work with. Also I was concerned with vehicle being from up north where there is
constant snow and salt on the roads.

Made it very easy to buy. Once I contacted them everything went very smoothly. I set up an appointment to test drive the car and once I arrived I was in and out of there in about 3 hours or less. Drove from Houston to New Braunfels. I couldn’t get in contact with anyone at the dealership all day, just the call center the whole way there . I called at least 20 times that day . Was an hour out then finally got a call saying it was sold. Was offered to look at a vehicle that was 8k more than the one I was looking at and they wouldn’t come down on the price at all for the waste of time . Lady was flat out rude during the phone call. So they lost a customer, I went to Austin and got a better deal and a better truck. :)

This experience left such a bitter and negative impact in my wife and I that it would be like reliving the experience every time we would go back. The new car is full of gas thanks to me. It is also fully detailed inside thanks to me and yes the carwash sticker they through in my dash is still there because since they took it from an existing vehicle it didnt even have glue to make it stick to my new vehicle. The initial experience can never be forgotten or erased.

It was a good experience. Staff was not as quick to respond due to COVID19 they were working with short staff. But once I got there staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good experience. We ended up buying the car. And we will buy again from EchoPark.

Great service. We worked with Cliff on buying a Tacoma. He was
knowledgeable and was able to work with me with financing options. He
was very polite throughout the entire process and was not pushy. This was
a very welcome change to the other dealers we recently visited, we never

The experience started off well, I was contacted promptly on the evening I sent a request for more information. I exchanged contact information and indicated I couldn’t make it over to see until after work the next day. I texted several times during the day prior to my visit and reiterated to let me know if the cars availability changed as there would be heavy traffic and the dealership was over 90 minutes in the opposite direction from my house. After one final text to confirm availability, at 4:30 I started my journey. Upon arrival I was told the vehicle was no longer available. The person I met with was not particularly friendly and just matter of fact about the car not being available and showed no empathy that I made a wasted trip. The sales person didn’t even offer to show me other vehicles in the price range I was after. In conclusion, I recommend not buying or wasting time with Echo Park.

For anyone shopping for a used auto, if you are looking for vehicles at dealers, I HIGHLY
recommend EchoPark. I visited their dealership in New Braunfels 3 times. I have not seen
any dealer that can beat their prices: they discount their prices below Kelley Blue Book--even
below the private party sales price!!! I have driven a couple of their vehicles and reviewed the
Carfax reports on them. (You can get the Carfax reports for their vehicles on their website.)
The vehicles were in IMMACULATE condition and the Carfax reports were clean. One
exception: a Honda Accord that I looked at but didn't drive had a Carfax that reported an
accident with minor damage. I looked at the vehicle, and you could not tell there had been any
damage. The employee at EchoPark said they do not purchase or sell vehicles that have been
in accidents and have any significant damage.

Terrible!!!! Talked with a couple of rep’s about a BMW X-1. Sent in finance paperwork the night before. They sent an email to my daughter the next morning confirming an appointment to test drive. I called at 8 am when they opened to check on the process and the car was sold to someone else at 9:05. My daughter was going to drive from Austin. Would not recommend this company to anyone!

For us to offer such great pricing on all our vehicles we do have certain tradeoffs such as not accepting outside financing. Outside financing adds complexity as well as cost which would then be passed onto our guests. While we don’t accept outside financing we do offer very competitive interest rates from our preferred lenders which include major banks and several local federal credit unions.
I have liked the 2014 honda CRV -EXL at their New Braunfels location . The vehicle was looking in good condition at their website. They have no haggle prices dealership, which is good. I have set up the meeting to visit their New Braunfels location from Houston.
Everytime I was contacted by different person they all giving little bit different information for buying and holding the vehicle and wantse to finance even I want to buy cash paid. I took the ride vehicle was in good condition. They keeps the prices low by not transfering to another convenient location and keeping the older parts, their standards are lower. Vehicle's all 4 tires were worn out and it has only one key. They don't want to consider the fact they i have to drive to Houston. Attitude of staff is not good, they are adamant and Rude on talking to any issues you bring. Very bad experience, I don't buy the vehicle and don't want to consider them for future.

Best car sales experience I've ever had and I have purchased many cars. Upfront about not accepting financing from outside banks. I asked about a few cars and salesman was very knowledgeable about each maker's quality and helped me narrow down what was best for my needs. Test drove a few cars and was not pressured for time or to make a decision. I ultimately made my choice and most of the process was electronic and easy to complete. Deal was done and I was more than happy with the experience and transaction. Will be returning soon to get a car for our son.

I left a “3” rating for the experience with the first car shopping visit but went back a few days and bought a different one. Staff is super helpful and prices are very good. The 30 day mechanical warranty is what sold me on this company. Local dealerships are resetting check engine lights and saying “buy as is”. Echo park will not sell a clunker and offer protection if that occurs. They are a 90 minute drive from me but are the only company I will buy from and recommend.

They have some very good deals on nice vehicles. However, I was ready to test drive and purchase only to be told they don’t accept outside financing. Since I was already pre-approved through my credit union I had to walk away. It would’ve been nice to know that up front and not to have wasted the time.

Curb appeal was wonderful. Lobby accommodations were excellent. Staff was polite when we walked in, while we waited and on the test drive. Then things just got sketchy fast. See I sent my husband to check out the truck before me (he was in the area)... he chatted with the guy gave him the run down seems legit. I get there to finalize this thing and BAM 12% interest, 2k down, 75 month term & the cherry an EXCELLENT credit score . Ummm that’s a hard stop. Money down wasn’t an issue. Everything else was. Would’ve walked out paying over 12k in interest alone. Asked if I could just go through my bank, nope it’s all in house financing— dong sing there we go folks, that’s how these boutique dealerships getcha. Nope sorry guy I’ll go up the street. I get it for someone that’s in a bind but man I still feel for em. There’s no way it’s worth that money for a USED car.

The overall experience is about a 4.75. Fast and efficient process. Their vehicles show as very good to excellent reviews on cargurus.com at a good pric. The staff is attentive, facilities are first rate. Really it was a very simple process.
The only reason(s) it isn't a 5 star are:
* no outside lending companies- all in-house. Of course, since that eliminates free market rate competition - meaning, they're going to be about 1.5-2 points higher that other banks (and before you think it, my credit score is way into the excellent range)
* They're a bit presumptuous about adding on a warranty, and while I would've selected on anyway, it too was about 25-30% higher than another I'd purchased through a regular dealership just last year on another care. Still, it appears to be pretty sound and limited "exclusions" (brakes, wipers, tires - normal wear-and-tear items), so, 1 major incident with the transmission or engine will recoup the cost, so, it's an insurance policy on a used vehicle

Overall I like the one simple price concept and they did work with me on my trade and increased their offer a little. This concept is a little different than the typical dealership in a few ways. 1. I was preapproved through my bank for a loan but was told they only work with a few approved lenders so I had to go through one of their lenders. The interest rate was a little higher than my bank so I will be refinancing with my bank. 2. The entire process is handled open to close with the salesman. There is no finance managers which explains why they only have a few Lenders that the work with. 3. Just like other dealerships they do try to include extras at close to purchase like gap, extended warranty and paint pertection and other stuff. Just READ the purchase order so you can catch all these things.
Overall the price was conderably lower than other dealership and end to end process was a lot faster so I would purchase from them again. Ultimately for me it is about best price

Good customer service overall, inspected vehicle car was in excellent mechanical condition but showed some signs of too much wear. My major observation is that dealership is fixed on price. Found some issues in car interior and some exterior side scrapes...even though requested a minor adjustment in price, dealership was not flexible with non negotiation policy.

before I walked in the door which really sped up the process. Our salesman was very transparent and
explained how this dealership worked. He was patient in answering all of our questions, not pushy or
aggressive, and he was knowledgeable about the whole process overall. I liked that we only worked with
our salesman--he didn't take us back to another room to talk to or be pushed by someone else. We dealt
with one person the whole time we were there. They won't negotiate, and they don't work with all banks.
You have to finance through them, which is why I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars. Their pricing,
however, is very competitive, so we did purchase the vehicle and may end up refinancing it through another
bank for a better rate.

Salesman was great until I didn’t want to pay for any additional products. Buying process took 3.5 hours because they did not want to let me walk away without getting the extended warranty although I told them no several times. The rate they told me I would receive was different than the one they presented to me on the final contract; they did not change it to what they had originally said. The manager was frustrated because he kept having to redo the contract that was incorrect due to their errors. The vehicle I bought was a good vehicle overall, but the process made me second guess whether or not I should still purchase from them. First impressions of the dealership were excellent; they were always very respectful & responded quickly. However, when it came down to business it was not a good experience.

The BEST experience I have ever had at any dealership!! Manny Miranda was outstanding!! No pressure, informative and all around the best salesperson I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with!! I’ve bought vehicles in 6 states and in Germany and none that I’ve dealt with can hold a candle to this young man!! I didn’t get the Camaro but I’ll be back for a truck!!

I had a 9:00 am appointment to look at a car I was interested in purchasing. At 8:00 am the morning of
the appointment they called me to confirm the appointment and I told them I was on my way (I live an
hour away). Then, around 8:50 am (10 minutes from appointment time, and I have driven an hour) they
call to tell me the car was sold the previous night! They had every right to sell that car, but I would
have appreciated a heads up before I had driven an hour! Better yet, don't call to confirm and confirm
my appointment after you sold the car. The rep I spoke with on the phone was not sympathetic and
acted as this is how business works there. I will not be buying a car from EchoPark.

Straight to the point purchasing. No outside finance available. Best cash deals. Due to lower pricing, they encourage you to finance, push car coverage and interior protection. They claim they are all salaried employees and not in commission?
I did have one bad experience with one of their Salesman. Instead of finding the answer to a small problem, he stated that with a car that low of a price, it’s begat you get.
The cars onhand all look pristine. No much of everything, just A little of everything

Seems they were hiding issues with the vehicle. Glad i went the time of day i did. I caught 3 faults with it. They tried to claim one as it was put there by the factory. That was the first lie. I've driven several of these vehicles and none had these things. Hence why their price is less then other dealers. Seemed like a vehicle that was in a flood.

This was a very positive experience. Sales rep, Bryan Lovato, who actually
took his time to explain, no pressure, informative, really a different approach.
We had been shopping around and have had some really bad experience
with sales reps that just could't keep track of their lies.
Bryan delivered and he will have 5 out of 5 stars. I will take away one star for
the 190 point inspection that could have bene more thorough, probably not
worse than anywhere else. It's worth a visit!

Both Bryan & Manny were very helpful going through the process. Things good to know if you shop at this dealership. This is not your typical dealership and they do not negotiate on the listed vehicle price. Additionally they have a set system for financing vehicles if you don’t buy on the spot. So you may have to refinance if they don’t work with your financial institution of choice. Finally, if you are attempting to offer a trade-in except to receive the lowest possible value on your trade. Standard business when working through dealerships. You can get an appraisal done elsewhere if you don’t mind the hassle and have the time but don’t expect a great change if the appraisal is above their initial offer.

It was awesome. Communication , on-sight experience, customer service, and individual attention was over the top. While waiting for paperwork, a brief and interesting history was shared about EchoPark by the sales rep and the Manager introduced himself, thanked us for choosing EchoPark-New Braunsfel. This is great place to buy a car. They only sell cars less than three years
old with less than 30k miles. The prices are just slightly above what the
auction price would be and beat their competitors on my car by several
thousand dollars. Glad I found them.
Their representatives were also really enjoyable to work with during the
buying process. Daron Esquivel sold me my car and couldn't have been
easier to deal with. He then enlisted a fellow worker, Rommel Eschauri,
who had an encyclopedic-like knowledge about the make of car I just
bought. This is after the sale when they both spent a lot of time making my
wife and I comfortable in our new car. Really positive and friendly young
people.
Their work model at Echo Park is very unique in the salespeople are not
competing with each other, as they are not paid by commissions and are
all salaried employees. It makes for a very upbeat experience. I can see
Echo Park growing across the country.

Be careful with Echo Park. They have good deals but restrict you to financing with their partners. I had to refinance through a different bank to get a competitive rate.

Kaleigh and Daniel listened to our needs for a vehicle and were patient in showing us all the SUVs we asked to see. They did not pressure us in any way and were so attentive and informative. So, as a result, at the end of 3 hrs, we purchased a Jeep SUV! They were so pleasant and expedited the buying process, making it less painful than any other place we’ve dealt with! Nice that we could work with the same people from start to finish! Kudos to both...we love our vehicle!

I was expecting the sales team to be the usual aggressive type of person,
but they were laid back but professional. After my short test drive I said I
was interested. They took my minivan away and I was very surprised at
their as I was expecting it to e low as their vehicles were priced well below
the going rate! So I decided to buy it. As I had only brought my checkbook
(they don't accept personal checks) I thought I would give them a $500
hold on my credit card and then come back the following week with the
cash. But I found out that the $500 holding money was for only 24 hours.
So I decided to go the finance way and then just pay the full amount with
my personal check when I get the first bill. So there are ways around not
having the correct payment method at first if you do decide to buy. The
time it takes to do the paperwork is not as long as the normal dealership,
but be prepared to wait. Would I recommend them? Absolutely YES!!

I didn't buy from them this time around, but they seem to have a good system for people looking for 1-3 year-old used cars. Their prices seem good. No unpleasant surprises. The interactions went smoothly, without any high-pressure tactics. I'll probably go back next time I'm looking.

Very poor experience. They seemed annoyed to be on the phone with me.
They claimed their prices are FIRM, not willing to negotiate at all (I was only
looking for a very modest $300 price reduction); then I see them drop the
price to less than I was asking a few weeks later. They missed an opportunity
to sell to me.

Great car shopping experience. Very friendly non-pushy staff.
My problem was that they only offer in house financing. My credit score is almost an 800 and the best they could offer me was about an APR of 6.3%
I asked if I could apply at my bank and come ready and they said no. They would only accept it if it was in house.

I am only giving them one star because I have to select something to submit
this review. Echopark did get in contact right away. We were in the market for
a very specific car, and they had one available. I communicated with
Jonathon about setting and appointment with full intention of purchasing this
car. My husband and I left work early to drive from Austin to New Braunfels.
The car was going to be a surprise for our daughter.
First, the google directions were incorrect and sent us to wrong exit. So I
called Echopark dispatch and got the correct directions. The woman even
mentioned the car we were going to look at (Im guessing my cell phone
registered to the original conversation/email).
We arrived 30 minutes early for our appointment, needless to say we were
very excited. We pulled into the lot and there was our car waiting for us in
front of the building. I assumed they were getting it ready for us to test drive.
I jumped out of the car and said to the gentleman standing there "Do I need
to go in to check in?" he replied "Yes" I walked in to the front desk and said
"Im here to meet Jonathon about that Mazda CX-5 out front!" All of the sales
people were standing around the front desk, but I never met Jonathon.
At that point the man behind the desk informed me that they just SOLD the
car to another couple? WHAT?!?!?!
To say I was upset would be an understatement. I had been emailing with
Jonathon over 24 hours and even emailed to let him know we would be
earlier than our expected appointment time (6pm). NOT ONCE did anyone
contact me to explain the car was no longer available.
The only thing said to me was "We don't hold cars any more." Followed by
"Unless you put a $500 deposit down" I was never told any of this
information.
For this supposed state of the art facility and their WE'RE DIFFERENT
attitude, I say you stink. You are cut throat sales jerks that don't care enough
to even inform a potential customer that things have changed.
Maybe had Jonathon contacted me, we would have considered any of the
other cars on the lot. We never even met Jonathon, Im guessing he was busy
getting the paperwork completed to sell our car to the other couple.
Echopark has a great idea, but if they are going to undercut their potential
customers they will FAIL. No amount of technology is going to make up for
personal faults.
It would be beneficial to tell the salespeople to contact potential buyers that
are driving from out of town prior to arrival if you've already sold the car they
want. Its the right thing to do, and you may even be able to sell them another
car. Needless to say it won't be to my family. And we have the need for more
than one car!
