The good: salesperson was very accommodating and nice. He forgot to give us the keys to the car when we left with it to test drive it, which led to about an hour of wasted time but was not a big deal.
The less good: I saw and drove the vehicle I was interested in on February 28. Vehicle was listed at $14,488 and had been on the lot for more than 60 days. When I brought the time on the lot up to the salesman, he said he didn't think that was right (it was, per this site and the CarFax).
I came back one week later, test drove it again, and came back to the store to see about what we could agree on. I made a low, in-cash offer to start things off, which is when he decided to tell me that in the week that passed between when I first saw it and when I wanted to buy it the price had *increased* by $4000 to $17,890. I guess he forgot to mention that first.
I don't know if that's a common practice (never in my life of buying cars have I experienced that) but it felt very bait and switch.

The price listed on Car Gurus for the 2021 Silverado was listed as 41,500.00 with 30K miles. I Was taking a 2013 Silverado to trade in.
They took my 2013 for a ride, and I took the 2021 for a ride. The 2021 was nice, however it had nearly 7k more miles than advertised,
The Salesperson had no explanation for the wrong mileage. This was disappointing.
When we sat down to negotiate an agreement, they offered me 9500.00 for my trade in, but because my trade had over
100k miles on it, the price for the used 2021 Silverado increased by 2,000 dollars. To make a long story short I was not happy, not only were the miles not stated
correctly but now the price has risen 2,000 dollars because my truck had over 100k miles on it. I was really confused.
The most painful vehicle buying experience i have ever had. Dream
Nissan in Lawrence Kansas knows nothing about Salesmanship, or
Customer relations. They bait you to get you to the store, only to
switch. Stay clear they are a rip off.

Briggs contacted me and I was very interested in purchasing the car. I
asked for a carfax and they provided me an auto check (and it was clean).
Just to be safe I went and paid the $30 to get a carfax. 2 accidents and
frame damage! Things happen and info can be reported incorrectly. BUT..
the problem I have is, I asked (Courtney) @ Briggs about it and she asked
me for an offer. I then asked "does it have frame damage or not".....no
response...then I sent another email....no response.. So Briggs is ignoring
me now because I discovered the car they were trying to sell me had
frame damage? Cmon guys.... not the way to do business.

Although I don’t think anyone in the organization was trying to hide any information, I am glad you brought it to my attention. Courtney is correct we don’t use carfax we do use autocheck. Sometimes autocheck finds things that Carfax doesn’t which is why we picked autocheck over Carfax. Unfortunately in this case it was the other way around. I would be willing to investigate what Carfax says and see if I can get any details, because you’re correct things do get reported incorrectly. Was in the evening when we visited. Close to closing time. Staff slow moving after letting them know we had another appointment to get to. Since it was dark, certain items were not seen or pointed out by sales clerk. We found things needing repair next daylight hours after purchase. Was told it was clean. Yes, clean but in need of some repair. Would have been nice of them to point it out and make recommendations on where to get repairs made. We take partial responsibility for not being more diligent in checking it out.

Great people but they didn't have the car

Very poor experience. Went to dealer for test drive on another
car and I couldn't get a straight answer on the asking price- the
sales manager and internet price varied by $2000. They offered
no explanation as to why. It took tweo days to find the Subaru
to find it was not available. Too many its to be a trustworthy
business will never purchase from Briggs.
