I went in a few days after first contacting the dealer and purchased the vehicle. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They all fawned over our 11 month old German Shepherd puppy. There was no pressure to purchase, but I already knew that as long as everything was OK with the vehicle, I would be taking it home with me. I would definitely buy from them again.

Dealer said he had a KIA K5 EX for me to drive but after driving it he told me it was a
GT not an EX. Total waste of my time since I had to drive 40 minutes to get to his
store. Not happy!

Hamid was super responsive and helpful!

Ivan the sales associate was excellent, unfortunately the vehicle was not clean or detailed, they evidently only do that if you buy it, otherwise they put in line, had it been ready That day I would have bought it.

Experience with Downtown Ford Sacramento was good. Bought a 2010 Honda Insight EX for
$7,999 which came to $10,000 out the door tax, license, registration and an anti-theft recovery
system installed.

Dealer made contact answered all questions and event made a video of the
vehicle to assist me.
I hate writing bad reviews but honestly have no choice. Contacted this dealer about a truck they had and while going back and forth with a salesman about pricing, I pointed out how other Ford dealers out of state had MSRP pricing and no greedy markups. I was rudely told by the salesman to enjoy my flight. Dealerships like these give Ford a bad name and are greedy. Avoid giving them your business as honest dealerships deserve the sales more.

My dealer experience was very good , salesman Nathan was very good , as was Sales manager Nick they were both very polite , very easy to talk to I told them what I was looking for a truck and they found the one I asked for ! I never felt any sales pressure to buy it , it all went so smooth and very easy I will definitely be back to buy another vehicle here and tell family and my friends this dealership is one of the best was treated very good .

Drove 250 miles to see this sienna limited priced at $20,466, after deciding to buy it, the manager added extra costs for the included value items increasing the price by $1500. When I disagreed to pay more than what was quoted, he said that he did not care if I bought it and told us to go away. We could have bought this car but did not because of his attitude. Other staff(Jose & Will) were also annoyed by their manager’s rudeness. I won’t suggest anyone to buy and waste their time here.

It was very confusing, they changed the price two times in the middle of the transaction, the2017 Ram Laramie was posted at 26k and changed the price at 36k after I was approved, then to compensate the mistake they said 30k so I agreed, and then they said 33k. At the end they offered it at 31k.

I was in and out in an hour with my new truck. My fiancé and I actually visited Downtown Ford a week prior and was happy with the dramatic increase of the proposed total price 60k+ than the sticker price. I was able to get down to 53k but wasn’t happy with it and left. I researched Ram Laramie and compared with others and others didn’t compare. So my Fiancé called Ford and spoke with Bill Anderson and he agreed to honor the initial internet price (45300). We drove there and got a better deal than the week before. To top it off my APR is even lower than what I was pre-approved for.

Jerry responded within a few minutes after I sent my inquiry. I met with him the following day to view the car. Jerry was authentic, respectful, and took the time to explain every step and document along the way. We have had very different car buying experiences previously.

Austin our sakes person and the sales manager were wonderful to work with. Truly one of the best car purchase experiences we have gone through.
May 1, 2020
The sales process was very easy and I did not feel any pressure at all regarding this car. I think Austin is incredibly knowledgeable regarding Mustangs and his no pressure sales techniques were a breath of fresh air. I believe I got a fair price on my trade in and feel confident in my decision to buy this car and would consider DT Ford if I need a new car in the future.

Everyone was friendly and helpful . They responded to my emails in a timely manner and had the car ready. My best car buying experience.
Gustavo at Downtown Ford was awesome! I live 2 1/2 hours away. When I finally found the exact car that I was looking for at the right price. I inquired about the car and he responded right away. We got all of the financing stuff taken care of over the phone. He was even willing to deliver us the car. My husband and I were so busy that we just decided to drive down when we had time off together (2 days later). Gustavo held the car for us! When we got there, we only had about 45 mins of chit chat and signing papers before we were able to head for home with my new car that is absolutely perfect for me! Everyone at Downtown Ford were so friendly and helpful!! Thank you so much Gustavo for making this a GREAT Car buying experience!
The salesperson that I met there was really nice and the people there overall seemed pretty easy going. The only thing that disappointed me
was I pointed out a problem with the emergency brake which was locked up with no give. I told them that I was a cash buyer and would have
to wait a week or so. While waiting for my money to come in, I got contacted about whether I was still interested. However, I was never
updated about the status of the repair although I told them to let me know when it was fixed. To me that indicates that they weren't going to fix
it until I actually purchased. Why not fix the car immediately regardless of whether I purchase it or not. It is an important fix whether I buy it or
someone else does.

John was great to deal with and was very informative on the 2019 Shelby GT350. Wasn't
able to work out a deal.
my initial contact was to get a rough estimate of vehicle + all the associated fees that will be added to it. my contact was very helpful in providing me a rough estimate, and i greatly appreciate that. this determines how much i can secure a loan to purchase the vehicle. will be meeting this weekend to sort out all the details, and hopefully procure the loan i needed. thx cargurus and downtown ford sales!

Very helpful!
The worst car dealership experience ever. I had negotiated and confirmed a price on a truck with the sales person and finance manager on the phone. As an out of the area buyer I couldn’t make it to the dealer but wanted to buy a vehicle they had for sale.
The deal was confirmed on a Friday night just before closing. They told me we would get the paperwork done in the morning. The next morning I didn’t hear anything from anyone. I reached out to the sales rep who was non communicative. After a few hours I began to get frustrated. I reached out to the salesperson several times, he would slowly reply and act like he was working on my deal. He asked for my ID and insurance card etc. By 2pm he asked if I would put a deposit on the truck to secure it. I reminded him that I offered to do just that the night before and I would be happy to do it that moment. He ghosted me for s few hours and then told me they sold the truck to someone else. Unreal after we had a deal confirmed.

Sherry at Downtown Ford was helpful, courteous and honest. She kept
in touch with us without being pushy. After researching available

Downtown Ford. The transaction was easy and pleasant. We even got
a great Black Friday deal!

I was interested in a vehicle they had just posted for sale. It was after hours when I found the vehicle online. I filled out the online interest information and was contacted as soon as or shortly after the dealership opened. Kit and Shelly were very helpful and answered all the questions I had. Great experience, I highly recommend Downtown Ford Sales! Ask for Kit or Shelly and tell them you heard it from CJ!!!

While the sales person responded immediately, when k went to the lot for the specific car, it was not available and was being worked on for mechanical issues. The ad specifically stated it had gone through a multi-point inspection, but obviously had not.

Apr 9, 2017
Dealer responded promptly. Went to dealer. Good to work with. Looked at 2 cars. Bought one. Sales Manager mislead me about credit check for check I wrote. He told me it would not effect my credit rating as it would be a soft check. However it was a HARD CHECK and lowered my credit score. This is upsetting.
Other than that the transaction with this dealer as pleasant and non-pressure.

Ira Carter was great. He made buying a used car as pleasant as possible. He showed me all of the features in the car, and explained how to operate them. He also synchronized my telephone with the car. The next day I took the car to my mechanic to double check that it was in good working order. My mechanic said that the car was in excellent condition and that there was nothing wrong with it. I recommend Ira for people wanting to buy a good used car.

Very nice, I was quickly called back to test drive
I highly recommend Sacramento's Downtown Ford! They had the car I wanted and Sherri worked hard to find financing that would work for me. Ultimately though, I found my own financing and everything after that was cake. Very happy with my Certified Pre-Owned Focus ST and satisfied with my purchase. Could not have been easier. Thank you Sherri and the team at Downtown Ford!

First, this is a review for the used car sales guys. I don't have
experience with new car sales here; they might be different.
Came here to inquire about a 4Runner. I came from San Jose to look
at this 4Runner, in addition to 2 other listings. I took Amtrak all the
way up because I was serious and intent on going home that day in a
4Runner.
I wasn't looking for something cheap. I was looking for something that
was fairly priced. If the truck is in great condition, I'm willing to pay.
Obviously, it's a business and it needs to make money, and people
need to feed their families. We all want to make a fair living.
I was approached by Used Car Sales Guy #1. He was cordial and
friendly, and easy going. Before I could even really look at the car in
detail, he was already offering me a test drive. Easy and done. I
hopped in the passenger seat because he was going to drive from
the back of the lot to the front office to photocopy my license. As he's
driving I go to lower the window for some air and notice the switch is
super loose when I tried to use it. I quickly pushed it back in place
and didn't say anything... (you'll see why..)
Used Car Sales Guy #1 comes back out. This whole time before and
during the ride to the lot, he's been telling me how fair they are and
how honest they are about the condition of the car, etc. etc. Let's just
call this "over compensation". Now as I'm driving, he's pouring it on,
again about how open, trustworthy and honest they are about
everything. Funny, because I notice he tries to put the window down,
fumbles with the loose switch, and slyly puts it back, without
mentioning to me that the switch is completely loose from the door
panel. Strike #1, buddy.
During the drive the check engine light comes on, and he promises to
get it looked at. Back at the lot, right after I put the truck in park and
he's getting out of the passenger side, I mention that the window
switch on the passenger door is loose. He pretends to fumble and
play with it for a bit, saying "Oh, I didn't realize that! I'll have to get it
looked at." Yea right bud. Strike #2.
I spend a good amount of time inspecting the car inside and out, in
the engine bay and under the truck. Because, you're not stupid and
you should inspect a used car before buying right?
So he mentions a few times throughout this, "Oh you're a mechanic
or something?" I tell them I'm not a mechanic, but I work on my own
cars, and that I was taught by my dad, who IS a professional
dealership mechanic. Note: Typical used car sales guys dislike
people who know about cars, because they're used, duh.
Used Car Sales Guy #1 leaves me with the truck, but soon Used Car
Sales Guy #2 comes over. Seems like he's playing the "bad cop"
role, cause he's pretty aggressive to start. He asked what I thought
about the car, and mentions again, "Oh are you a mechanic?" So I let
Used Car Sales Guy #2 know the same thing I told his brethren.
The listing says "great" condition and this is what these guys claim in
person. I point out that "great" means it's completely 100%
mechanically and cosmetically sound. Look at Edmunds, KBB or
anything else. It's a standard industry term, it's not something you
make up in this line of work as a professional dealership.
I point out that according to the service records, it's missing some
major routine maintenance and has missed quite a few milestones,
the major ones costing quite a bit of money. I point out that to
baseline it to what "great" should be would cost some money.
At this point, I've yet to offer any price; I'm just communicating to
them that their listing is not as described - in addition to the overdue
major maintenance, there's quite a few things not great with the
vehicle.. I'm willing to pay this price according to this description
(even though it was overpriced-because a "great" condition 4Runner
is hard to find). The problem is, the truck doesn't fit the description.
Used Car Sales Guy #2 gets immediately defensive and says, "this
price is it, if you think you're getting a much lower price, forget it". I
point out that I'm not looking for anything cheap, but this is obviously
not matching the description.. and you're showing me the proof
yourself.
To cap it off, Used Car Sales Guy #2 tells me, if you don't like the
price you can leave, we've had 70 of requests about this vehicle
since yesterday (or some ridiculous number). Wow, talk about being
polite and superior customer service.
In the end, I spoke to what seemed to be the manager or owner, and
he frankly stated that whoever took in the car as part of the trade paid
too much to the customer, and now in selling it they have to pass that
cost onto the next customer. Period.
To be a smart customer it's real easy.
1: Look up Toyota's recommended maintenance schedule for your
model and year of vehicle.
2: Do a little "googling" to learn about the most common mechanical
problems on the vehicle. Example: "Toyota 4Runner 1997 most
common problems". IN ADDITION, Try "autooninfo.net" and
"carcomplaints.com" for contextual information.
3: Compare Toyota's maintenance schedule against the CarFax;
write down the most common problems for your vehicle and pay
extra-close attention to those items when you test drive and inspect
the vehicle.
4: Use Edmunds or KBB to get a ballpark idea, but make sure you
compare this with reality. Pay attention to the average price for the
same vehicle on places such as Craigslist, CarGurus and eBay to
find the "street" price.
5: Make sure you figure out some type of test for their honesty. In my
case it was a simple window switch that exposed a liar. They are
salesman. They do this day in and day out. As a customer, you
should come prepared to play a psychological game.
I've told my own experience. You can decide for yourselves if you
want this same experience.
Note: after this I ended up buying a Land Cruiser instead, privately,
from a fire fighter on eBay. The experience was tremendously better;
I asked many, many questions of the vehicle and he was very
detailed and open about the issues, what was fixed and what was
not. I felt comfortable enough to buy the vehicle sight unseen on
eBay, and fly down to Texas just to drive it back to Cali.
Yes, I was willing to do all that traveling just to avoid dealing with any
more scumbag Used Car Sales Guys. I'm not saying all used car
sales guys are bad... just seems the culture at this place breeds
bums like Used Car Sales Guy #2, who claimed to have been there
over 30 years. Well, if he's given 30 years of this level of service
here, it's standards can't be that high.
They get ONE STAR because never at any time, did anyone, ask me
how much I was willing to pay. My offer wouldn't have been that far
off at all. I'm a reasonable person.
Used Car Sales Guy #1 - caught in a lie
Used Car Sales Guy #2 - rude, hard handed tactics
Possible manager or owner - frank statement that yep, we're
basically screwing the next customer
All 3 guys - never once asking what I'm actually willing to pay.

One star

Very simple process. Clean and no pressure sales. Will be back
someday!
THE best car buying experience I have ever had! This dealerships
GETS IT. No hammering, no "closer" trying to bilk you out of a
few extra dollars. Just great cars at great prices and no nonsense
attitudes. I am incredibly impressed with their business ethics and
the respect with which they treat the customers. I drove hundreds
of miles and passed dozens of dealerships to buy my car here.
Sherri was great and made the entire process painless. Jim in

They had to fix a couple of things(noise in the rear/seal on the lense of the headlight unit). they returned the car w/o any registration or fixing the problems. They were notified, came and p/u the car and left a loaner with out of date tags. Couldn't drive it. They returned the car and left. To this day, the problems still persist. Everybody was very nice. Our salesman was nice, but he was full of it. We are still trying to get the problems fixed.
